The stones work well. I bought them to sharpen up my girlfriend’s knives because omg were they unusable. I tried using the angle guide but found it difficult to use and it left marks on her chef’s knife which was a little disappointing as it’s a lovely knife. I ended up sharpening everything freehand, which went smoothly after a brief adjustment period. Non-stick rubber on the bottom of the base was hit-or-miss, as it slid all over the place on her tile counter but stuck well on a wood table. Overall, it’s a good sharpening set if you want to take the time to learn to hone your knives by hand.

Seems to be of good quality and value for the price. They are much bigger than I was expecting which is a good thing. I had no idea what the course grey stone is for as well as the small white stone. I watched the videos for other similar products on Amazon and I learned that they are for flattening the stones when they become uneven. HOMEFAVOR certainly could have explained that. The video shows a 2-second clip of the knife being dragged in reverse over the stone. Other videos show the edge being pushed into the stone. The correct way to use the product is not clear.

These arrived in excellent condition and looked prestige. They are quality made as well. You will need a leather strop however.

I was a super beginner getting into knife sharpening and this set is an awesome introduction for it. The 4 different grit stones let you do a full resharpening of a dull blade or maybe just a touch up sharpening on a semi-sharp blade. Highly recommend.
