George Benson and Earl Klugh - Collaboration - CD

2 Great guitarists - One Awesome Collaboration
Think of 2 people of similar greatness collaborating. Robert Deniro & Al Pacino/ 2pac & 50 Cent/ Jackie Chan & Jet Li/ Denzel Washington & Samuel L Jackson, etc. Well, this is IT!Jazz guitar legend GEORGE BENSON teams with Classical Guitarist EARL KLUGH. In my opinion this is one of the greatest collaborations ever recorded. George impresses with his great jazz chops and Earl is awesome with his classical style of playing.Once again, I must state that if you truly love ALL MUSIC (not just tolerate all music, but actually enjoy all) then you will enjoy this album. Of course Jazz appreciators, music appreciators, and guitar enthusiasts will automatically enjoy this album as I did. But there is something in it for everyone. Here George Benson and Earl Klugh have put together a fine album with a lot of other back up artists who are also well known too. Namely Marcus Miller on bass and Paul Jackson Jr. on rhythm guitar. I listen to this album almost every freakin day. If you're looking for note-worthy music that is true to Music theory, intelligent, and honest at heart then I recommend this album to you.

A Great Collaboration
This is a great CD and everyone should buy it; especially "Brazil Stomp". One must hear this CD for yourself, and you will know that you should have it in your smooth jazz collection.

A solid *****5 star purchase
I had the vinyl album from years ago.., When I received the amazon delivery the CD went from the mailbox straight to the car CD player.., The Collaboration album played one hit after another, It beats out the lousy garbage tunes of todays top 40's... For those of us who appreciate "REAL" music., You'd want "Collaboration" in your CD collection...

Great album
Fun album! The Benson solo on track 2, approximately 2 minutes and a couple seconds in, blows me away. So much rhythmic command and melodic power! Great if you love Benson or Klugh..Wonderful if you love both. Some great moments! Great buy!

LET THE FRET BOARD AND THE FINGERS DO THE TALKING!
Just listen to those licks ... brilliant! This is how a guitar should be played ... soft, subtle and without any electronic devices whatsoever to distort any of the instrument's natural sound. Nice to hear two masterpiece musicians really enjoying themselves. A sparking gem.

Love it!
This album reminds me of many happy things in my twenties as i owned it then. twenty years later, this album is still just as funky, totally George Benson. However if, you are new to Earl Klugh , then I recommend that you also purchase lots of his stuff, as his guitar playing is even more wonderful than George's!

As Good As I Remembered
I had (and still have) the vinyl of this as an AVID George Benson fan but haven't played it for years. Since purchasing this CD I have been playing it constantly (not 24 hours but at least 2 or 3 times a week) it is brilliant and a reminder of George's roots in Jazz Guitar where he is unequaled.
