Easy, delicious cold brewing for newbs and veterans alike
I'm new to cold brew coffee, but I've used a couple of methods in the past that made it rather inexpensive to learn. However, my previous method — using doubled cheesecloth in a large glass jar — was messy and cumbersome. The grounds were difficult to rinse from the cloth, and the coffee was impossible to pour from the jar. I ended up using a separate jar to brew and a separate carafe to store the coffee. Too many dirty dishes for this mom with a young child. But I didn't want to give up on cold brewing, so I decided to try the Broo. I'm so glad I did. This cold brewing apparatus is ready to roll right out of the box. A quick rinse or wash and you can easily start your first batch of cold brew. The included instructions are easy to read and understand. I like how the carafe reminds me of a beaker from a chemistry lab. All you need are some goggles and a pipette and you're on your way to some mad scientist cold brewing! After adding in the grounds and topping up the carafe, I left my Broo in the refrigerator for 24 hours. What was wonderful was lifting the infusion column from the carafe and seeing the dark concentrated cold brewed coffee with nary a chunk of bean or bit of grit in the solution. Delightful! The infusion column was easy to clean and the lid works great. My only suggestion is to use a firmer or more snug gasket around the top, as every time I lift the lid from the Broo the gasket stays in place. It's nothing but a minor issue and doesn't affect the functionality of this sleek, easy-to-use apparatus. For those new to cold brewing, or even those who are looking for a low-maintenance, easy-on-the-eyes system, I'd suggest the Broo in a heartbeat!

LOVE this glass iced coffee maker!
I'd been using the Primula, but when my daughter accidentally bumped it and it fell & broke, I had to order a replacement--which arrived broken. Not wanting to risk another problem, I switched to the Coldbroo--and I love it!The shape is beautiful. I admit that I worry about dropping it when pulling it out from the fridge, so I use 2 hands (1 underneath). It doesn't hold as much as the Primula, so I do have to make cold brew more often. I ended up buying some mason jars so I could put the last 16 oz. in the mason jar and start making my next batch in the Coldbroo. (I tend to let mine brew for 24 hours, because I'm a morning coffee drinker and I don't think about starting the process in the evening).I LOVE the stainless steel insert. My husband works with food-grade equipment and the material of choice (FDA requirement) is stainless steel. The mesh of the insert is fine-I've had NO problems with coffee granules seeping through (which I did have with the Primula)--what a great change that is.Reading others' comments, I noted the discussion about sealing. As the instructions say, you take the black rubber gasket off of the brewing insert when done brewing--you then put it on the lid, so it forms a seal. It likely won't hold if you turned it upside-down, but why would you do that? It does seal it just fine, though--I have to tip the Coldbroo in order to put in the the door of my fridge, and have had no leakage when doing so. When ready to brew your next batch, just wash the gasket and put it back on the brewing insert--easy!My only concerns: when moisture on the side (from going in/out of the fridge) makes it slippery AND the bottom doesn't have a rubber protector. I therefore treat it with respect.I really am glad not to have any plastic for my cold brew coffee.

EXACTLY what I was looking for!
I love this!I've been venturing into the world of cold brew over the past year, or so. I've spent a ton of time reading articles, reviews, techniques, watching videos, and ultimately testing different cold brew methods. I initially started brewing using a mason jar - placing the grounds in with water and letting it set in the fridge for varying amounts of time. I was getting fantastic results, as far as taste was concerned, but the filtering process left a lot to be desired. After talking with my wife, and describing a magical device that would steep the grounds, while also containing the grounds for easy filtering/removal, I ended up on Amazon, and discovered this Coldbroo, which is EXACTLY what I was looking for!I've done multiple side-by-side taste tests (including blind tastings), and am completely satisfied with the flavors and mouthfeels that both methods replicate on a consistent basis. I've also done comparisons between these methods, and commercially available cold brew drinks/concentrates, and am generally more satisfied with the product I'm creating with the Coldbroo. The stainless steel filter core does allow a slight (yet, detectable) amount of the finest grounds to pass through into the carafe. I like to perform secondary filtering with a dampened brown paper filter. The additional process takes some time, but yields a more professional result.

Easy and Delicious
I love coffee, but I hate making it. I've had no luck getting a really good homemade cup of coffee from traditional coffee makers, Keurig pods, and even a French Press. I want to drink coffee without the heavy cream and sugar, but I can't get over the bitterness.Enter the Coldbroo – this is SO EASY. And it makes coffee that doesn't taste burnt or bitter at all! I get the sense it's pretty forgiving. I used generic store-bought pre-ground coffee (not a coarse blend or anything specific for cold brew, just something I grabbed on a whim). I had the Coldbroo out of the box and set up in under 5 minute. Next morning, I pour some in a glass with milk (no sweetener of any kind), and... delicious. Better than my go-to coffee shop.Preparation is extremely easy. Clean up is extremely easy. Drinking a great cup of coffee is extremely easy. I'm already considering purchasing a second for the office.

Brews the Best Coffee
I absolutely love this cold brew container. It is so cool looking and the coffee comes out phenomenal every time. Easy to clean, and looks good in the refrigerator. The picture is immediately after I added the water to the grounds. Coffee came out very dark and soooo smooth after 36 hours. I am going to order a few more so that I can have some coffee brewing at all times.
