Very Useful Guide to Samsung Tablet
I am a very experienced desktop user and decided one day to buy a Samsung TAB A at Costco. It came with a tiny start-up guide of about 5 sentences. So I downloaded the users manual for free from the Samsung web site and printed it out. Even with the manual's coverage, it was extremely difficult to learn how to navigate with taps and touches and in many cases the user's manual was just plain wrong as applied to updated software. I was just about to return the Tablet to Costco when I discovered Eric Butow's book and purchased it on my Kindle. This book is very useful, and unlike the user's guide, very specific in what steps to take to access the many features on the TAB A. Many of the features and apps I never would have discovered by just using Samsung's guide and website support. Samsung should be paying Eric the big bucks just for publishing this. This book saved me from returning the tablet to the retailer. Do not buy a Samsung Tab A unless you buy this book.

Learing
I am completely tech. illiterate. Bought a new Samsung tablet thinking it would be easy to carry around & use. I needed more help,so bought the Galaxy Tab A book. Though I'm slow at it,I'd never have managed to learn much have anything without it. Thank you, with no one to help, this became my source for learning. Not as smart as a three year old yet...but baby steps are getting me there.

Good Tablet
Nice tablet that I bought for my wife. However others got the benefit of it since it was stolen. It was lighter than I expected, but it was the right size that my wife wanted since it was a surprise gift ... not too big...not too small. I bought a case for it and so it made the tablet feel a little heavier and not like something that would glide out of your hands. The performance of the tablet was excellent given what my wife used it for. I recommend it for purchase. I will replace the stolen tablet shortly.

Inadequant instructions
The tablet was great, BUT the instructions that came with it sucked. I have been to three in-store instructions classes and they were just O.K. Each secession was only an hour long, MUCH MUCH too short to fully understand all operations. For a person already versed in I Phone and all other info on the internet, the instructions may have been adequant but for an old dog like myself (age 78) and a newcomer to this type of knowledge, the information provided was wholey liking.

Best of all I looked at and purchased
Info may or may not apply to newest Tab A 10.1 but if the 10.1 ìs what you have ....this is still likely to be more relevant than any other guide available ...Lots of pictures, instructions..... my Tab A (and simple basic Samsung smartphone) have replaced my laptop for past 6 months. I am also trying out a www.amazon.com/dp/B00MUTWLW4?psc=1 logitech keyboard K480 also available locally retail same price (now) another option is logitech K830

Galaxy Tab 10
This book got me well past the "STARTING POINT". Manufacturers user instructions are too assumptive. My Samsung Galaxy Tab is very clear and provided me the info I needed to be on my way. I'm now good to go. If Eric and Lonzell author other books please put me on the notify list.

galaxy tab
the book is very helpful with information about the tab, but it does have one little drawback. When you have to wade thru the information about the 7 inch tab first, before you get to the 10. It may be a little easier if they maybe put the 7 inch on one part of the book and the 10 on the other. But it is helpful
