Pearson's Bun Bar - Vanilla 24ct

Arrived at noon after ordering late on the day before! Fresh and flavorful.I bought these as a taste of nostalgia. As kids, if we walked home from school and saved our bus money for two days, my siblings and I had 10 cents each to buy a Wayne Bun Bar. I looked forward to good weather days so I could enjoy this special treat more often. Later we moved to a rural location where no one seemed to stock them. Decades later I accidentally stumbled across these (as Pearson's Bun Bars) on Amazon. I couldn't resist sending them to my siblings, and got phone calls all day long from all of them. We laughed and ate them "together" remembering when... Thanks Pearsons & thanks Amazon!

It just seems like most candy these days is not what it used to be, so I went hunting for a good memory... and wow did I find it. When I was a kid back in the 1960's, I loved both the vanilla cream, as well as the maple flavor Buns. Most stores do not carry these any more. I love that the vanilla cream is still creamy (not horribly hard like the candy of today) and that it is packed with peanuts and chocolate. I am willing to wait these days for a really good candy bar, and this is one that is well worth the wait.

I can't get this where I live so it is wonderful that Amazon can supply it. I wish it were not so many calories but that is the curse of candy. I try to limit it to 2-3 a week or less so a box of 24 can last a few months.

I have not been able to find these delicious candy bars in our local stores. And I haven't been able enjoy one for more years than I like to remember. As with all of todays old favorites they have shrunk in size but the memories still remain. Although the creamy vanilla centers seem to have changed over the years, they are still a great treat and bring back memories of my long ago childhood. Can't wait to try the maple flavored ones.Try em and enjoy!

Stale candy was in a thin store display box in plastic bag. Box was squashed n damaged. Would return but not-refundable.

A small yummy treat for only 220 calories. I like to freeze it before eating it. Not too thick so my teeth are safe biting it when frozen. It’s probably good at room temperature too, I would think.

These were packed exceptionally well, arrived very fresh and in great condition. Was a bit worried, but everyone did a fine job. These are awesome. I'm trying to hide them so they last, but it's not easy!
