Clear and easy to use, just the right size for bedside table
Great alarm clock, easy to use, just the right size for a bedside table, though a bit big for me to think of as a travel alarm clock. It's a nice design with smooth rounded corners. I really like the fact you only need to gently touch the top, not click or push anything, to light it up at night to see the time, or to make it snooze once the alarm has gone off. Snooze is 9mins and doesn't seem to be adjustable. I have no problem reading the display in daylight or in the evening with the lights on. Only downside is that if you change the alarm time, it then sounds the alarm to make you choose how loud you want the alarm to be (until you press the button to select), so if you need to re-set the alarm after your partner is already asleep in bed, it can disturb them. Perhaps there is a way to stop this happening (other than trying to press the button super quickly) but I'm not sure. This only happens when you change the alarm time, so if your want your alarm to go off at the same time every day and you don't need to change it, this isn't a problem.

Very Nice Little Clock
I have just received it today and started using it.This clock:1. Does not give off light unless you touch it on the top - EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED.2. Very easy to use.3. Added bonus - there are TWO volumes available for the alarm (very good for me as I do not need the alarm to be that noisy).4. The only part missing is that IN THE MANUAL THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO OPEN THE LID AND THE BACK IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE BATTERIES. Be careful until you learn how to open the lid, so as not to damage the lid (I used the metal end of a pair of scissors and moved it through the 1 mm opening). I still give the clock 5 stars though as I like it so far.5. Looks nice. Plain simple white - no stupid designs, logos, words, numbers etc. on the product (I hate those).6. Information on how to contact the manufacturer given on the bottom, including email address of manufacturer, and also battery data / parameters written on the bottom - very convenient. So, it is a nice little clock - just be careful when you open the lid at the back to place / replace the batteries for the first time, so as not to damage the lid by pulling it in the wrong direction or in the wrong way, as there are no instructions given on how to open the lid. however, after you have opened the lid for the first time, you realise it is actually easy, but also that you might have damaged the lid if you didn't open it gently, carefully the first time.

Nice design, solid construction, and does the job, but with flaws
It looks good, and the display is large and clear, but there is no facility for a slightly upward inclination, which latter would have made it more readable in many situations, though probably not needed when on a bedside table. It's really tiresome and quite indefensible, having the settings buttons on the back, not the front, which makes setting-up particularly difficult and confusing, because one needs to be looking at the display while operating the relevant buttons, and in order to ensure you press the correct buttons you need to look at them and therefore your eyes are off the display!Worse than that, too, the buttons are the same colour as the back of the unit, AND the identifying symbols are embossed but are the same colour too. So, to work out which button to press for a particular function you have to get a directional light on it at a low angle, so you can see a slight shading or reflection that faintly reveals the icon! -- Really, what sort of intelligence designed that??! -- Definitely not impressed!Well, I did manage to set it up, but it was an unnecessarily tiresome chore.Another design flaw, common in other models too as far as I can see, is that there is no facility to completely disable snooze. That is most inconsiderate to people who don't want to use snooze at all. It's so convenient when one can simply touch the top of the unit to stop the alarm, but if I'm not to have the alarm go off again some minutes later I have to remember not at all to touch the top when the alarm sounds, but to get hold of the unit and grope for any one of the buttons on the rear, and press that. — And they're rather difficult to find even by touch because they've been made pretty flush with the back panel. Its two level settings for the alarm beep seem well chosen (I preferred the low setting), but I would have preferred to have a choice of alarm sound — my preference always being a crowing cockerel rather than some tinny-sounding tune. At least the plain beeping of this unit is much better than a tuneSo, rather a curate's egg — good in parts.I wasn't looking for a travel alarm this time, but I reckon that, apart from the aforementioned flaws, it's great as a bedside alarm, but I'd say it's decidedly bulkier and heavier than I'd ever want as a travel alarm.

Good value
Bought this to replace a clock that I lent to my daughter (the equivalent of kissing it goodbye). The clock arrived promptly and well packaged. It's a neat, well sized device- small enough to fit into a pocket, but with a large, easy to read display. Some reviewers had difficulty setting up the date, but I found that the instructions were clear enough and had no problem, also the supplier Emailed me with clear instructions to make sure that there was no confusion- good customer service. The clock sports as many functions as I need. the alarm is easy to set up and the backlight/snooze function respond to the lightest touch on the button on the top. Altogether as much as you want from an alarm clock and at a good price.

Great clock but the temperature on it is inaccurate
I bought this to measure the temperature as well as tell the time. The manual says plus or minus 1C (which was a disappointment when the clock arrived, as the it displays the temperature to 1 decimal place as shown in the picture of this item, which is meaningless and therefore misleading) but when I tested it by comparing it to my central heating thermostat (putting it next to the thing), it was out by a variable amount that was often more than even 1C.Great clock if you are not bothered about the temperature; it is small, light, easy to read and has a decent battery life. I left it a long time after purchasing before writing this review as I always think carefully before making negative comments. In fact this is a first for me.
