Love this product for when I need a little extra moisture. There is really no scent, it’s extremely faint, which I love. The consistency feels watery. I pour some onto my hands and apply to my face that way. When you first apply, it does have a slight oily feel to your skin, nothing overwhelming, but once it soaks into your skin it does not feel oily anymore. Def recommend!

This stuff is great. The texture it very nice, almost silky but not greasy. It absorbs into the skin quickly and feels so good. I could just keep massaging into my skin forever. Good for those with sensitive skin and there's no parfumy smell. In fact, it's very hard to smell the product itself, maybe just a micro hint of a smell, but not bad at all (and I really hate fragrance). Bottle is pretty, nice and sturdy.

Very hydrating. Moisturizes well and layers like a champ without pilling! My go to when nothing else works after accidentally damaging the skin barrier with acids or tret.

This has got to be one of the best skin care products I have ever used! Its really moisturising without being at all oily. I use it after the Im from fig cleansing balm. I have really dry skin, it feels so calming and luxurious. It is expensive but worth it

Favourite essence for the fall and winter months. Very hydrating, not irritating in the least. I’ve purchased probably 8 of these! I can’t live without essence u see my serums and moisturizers.

This is an amazing skin essence that has no scent , feels great on the skin. Great under foundation as part of a skin routine

I use essences as the first step in my skincare routine (after washing) both AM and PM. Essences are somewhat similar to Western toners in that they can be used to balance the pH of your skin, ensure a clean 'slate' so to speak, or act as an extra hydrating/anti-acne/skin-soothing step (whatever your main goal is). I’ve been interested in trying some of I’m From’s products, mainly the Mugwort essence tbh. I was interested in this fig-based essence though as it has skin hydrating humectants and soothing ingredients like Panthenol and Allantoin and also a milder form of Salicylic Acid, Betaine Salicylate (which is twice as gentle), and this is great as a gentle exfoliant for acne-prone skin types. It also contains Hyaluronic acid to plump skin and Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) such as peptides and amino acids. One thing to note – it does have silicone in it (Diphenyl Dimethicone) which I don’t really like. I prefer to use anything with silicones as a last step in my routine as a light occlusive. I have oily and acne-prone skin and I use tretinoin and other actives in my routine so constant skin hydration and moisture are essential for keeping my skin barrier in good shape. I start with a clean fresh face and apply an essence, toner, and then moisturizer and sunscreen (AM). This Fig essence is ideal for my PM routine on days when I don’t use tretinoin (since this has a mild BHA in it). It feels more viscous than my other essences which have more of a watery consistency (I like Secret Key Starting Treatment Rose essence and Missha Time Revolution Artemisia Essence). I don’t notice much of a scent with the I’m From Fig essence but it feels silky, smooth, and slightly moisturizing on my skin. I always pour a small puddle into my left palm and apply to my face with the fingers on my right hand in a patting motion. I don’t use a cotton ball or pad to apply this essence as I consider it a waste of product. Overall, I will not purchase this once I run out. I really want to try the I’m From Mugwort essence though. I think this Fig essence is ideal for dry/normal type skin. For me, it’s too ‘thick’ as a first step essence. I haven’t experienced any negative effects yet, no clogged pores or breakouts but I also haven’t noticed any increase in suppleness, reduction in redness, or subtle ‘glow’ that I’ve experienced when using other essences. 3.5/5 stars.
