Magic Mender is a low-fire product used to attach, repair or fill bisque or unfired pieces. It is an essential for the ceramic or pottery studio. The product is pre-mixed and needs no additives. It can attach unfired clay to unfired clay or bisque and bisque to bisque. It is applied directly from the jar to your low fire clay and slip. When it dries, fire your piece to the cone of your slip up to cone 02 or 03 (2048 degrees). Color can also be applied before firing. 4 Fluid ounces per jar.

Kiln Shelf Repair
I used the product to repair a divot in a kiln shelf where glass had stuck to the shelf. I filled in the divot, allowed the material to dry, and sanded it smooth. I then fired the kiln to 1650 degrees to cure the filler. It appears to be working well. I kiln washed the repaired shelf and have done about five fuse firings with no visible degradation of the fill material or glass sticking problems.

This Great pottery mender and builder! Even on tiny greenware objects!
I make ceramic dollhouse miniatures, vases, pitchers, plates, etc. I use low-fire clay and glazes. This mender works to hold handles, repair tiny greenware pieces that have broken, and even add a handle to an already fired piece! It is great! I have attached a 1/8 inch diameter greenware handle to a 1 inch tall pitcher! It takes holding the pieces together for about 30 seconds, then it is dried and will hold. I recommend this product.

Didn't work!
I purchased this in an effort to save a cracked slumping mold for fused glass. I had very high expectations, as these molds are very costly. Instead of it working, the mold further cracked to several pieces, instead of the 2 I started with. I carefully followed the directions. Don't waste your money!

Works temporarily
I cannot get this to work on a glass casting mold. It works for 1-2 firings and then the piece comes loose again. I have tried 4 times now.

Good mender and patch
Fixes chips in bisque and is often successful in patching breaks in green ware.

Not great
Works on small breaks but not very well on more substantive breaks.

Mends bone dry clay.
The product performed well and as claimed. I used it to mend a bone dry teapot that I mishandled and broke.
