Mepitel One #289300 measures 3"x4" and features a one sided soft silicone wound contact layer. Mepitel One minimizes trauma to the wound and pain to the patient during dressing changes. It is a newly launched one sided version of Mepitel that utilizes the product benefits from Mepitel, but is easier to handle. As with the Mepitel, Mepitel One can be left in place for up to 14 days depending on the condition of the wound. This reduces the necessity for frequent primary dressing changes. The porous structure of Mepitel One allows exudate to pass into an outer absorbent dressing. This is a MUST for any open wound with multiple dressing changes required..
This was perfect for my wife's wound recovery. Kept the bandages from sticking to the open wound (which was healing for almost 4 months), and without this being applied first would have been a very hard thing to get off. Easy to put on, cut to size and shape, and worked perfect at keeping the wound healthy and free of additional trauma from dressing changes. If you have a wound that is taking a long time to heal and is bleeding or has body fluids coming from it that dry onto the bandages and make it painful to the bandages off, this is worth every penny. I attribute this for how well her wound healed and with the least amount of scarring possible it seems.

fantastic
This product is fantastic, especially for geriatrics. Wounds can breath, get wet and mepitel stays on for up to 2 weeks and comes off without sticking. My mom is 90 and has very fragile skin. This product is so great to use on her boo boos. Mepitel is expensive up front, but by lasting up to 2 weeks, the cost is really minimal.

BEST product in the world for wound care. It does not PULL your skin off when you remove it. A must have in your cabinet.
