Developing and Implementing a Corporate University Paperback – March 3, 2015

Jeff has been a valuable asset to me as we work to implement a corporate university-like structure. He's very knowledgeable, skilled and generous with his knowledge. His book Developing and Inplementing a Corporate University has been a very valuable resource and he's kindly shared data from and information about the Dresser-Rand Corporate University where appropriate. If I could straight up plagerize all of Jeff's work, my job would be finished and our plan would be successful.

I'm a program management professional tasked with building a corporate university and found must of what we have done inline with what's in this book, strongly recommended.

This book is ok. There is some good information in here. The best concepts of this book are the org charts. They help put some tangible though behind the "to do" list in the book.

I would be in a good position to rate Mr. Grenzer's efforts at Dresser-Rand where he implemented some of these "University like measures". One of his training techniques included forcing down tired business "guru" types books down to new hires to get them to understand how companies do well, or in other words, "try this magic formula and this could work". When I personally challenged the absurdity of this approach, especially that of using books whose authors did not understand basic statistics or the dynamics of the stock market, Mr. Grenzer showed me 'the stick'. My experience of his military type implementation of a university wasn't good and by all means, others may have different opinions so they're welcome to give other ratings . Based on my experience, I would not read any book written by Mr. Grenzer.
