Die Safranfäden haben einen sehr intensiven Geschmack und lösen sich gut auf. Die einzelnen Fäden schmecken bitter aber so muss es bei echtem Safran auch sein. Kein Vergleich zu dem Mist den man im Supermarkt findet und auch wesentlich günstiger. Die Verpackung finde ich auch sehr ansprechend.

Le scatolette di latta sono identiche, ma una – cioè questa – contiene 1 grammo e costa 4,90 €, mentre l’altra è di 2 grammi e costa 7,90 €.Quale è la più conveniente?Chiaramente l’ultima, quella da 2 grammi.Questo solo per sottolineare che di questo prodotto ne esistono 2 varianti identiche, stesso contenuto – zafferano in pistilli – ma con pesi diversi.Lo zafferano è eccellente: profumatissimo e delicatissimo, rosso fuoco, come deve essere, e le scatolette in latta con tappo a vite fanno la loro figura e si possono anche riciclare come contenitori per altri usi (pastiglie, ad esempio).Essendo in pistilli, ed in così piccole quantità, non vale la pena – anzi, è sconsigliabile – star lì a macinarlo con il tritatutto; sarebbe di più la quantità che si spreca (anche come polvere nell’aria…).Meglio utilizzarlo così com’è, magari lasciandolo decantare un attimo in un goccio di acqua calda prima di rilasciarlo nel risotto (io ho fatto così).La scadenza dei miei sample è dic. 2021 ma…. è già finito!Quantità troppo risicata, d’altronde, per durare così a lungo, e prezzi ai livelli del tartufo, ma già si sapeva.
