Beautiful shoes for narrow feet.
Bought this pair at a local shoe store for my 12-year-old ballerina. This is her very first pair of pointe shoes. We spend a total of 2.5 hours at the store trying different brands, styles, sizes, widths of shoes.Originally we had bought the Freed brand, but the head of the school, after inspecting the shoes on my daughter's feet, dod not approve the shoes, showing us how they were not the best fit for my daughter. We went back to the store and tried on more shoes, and went back to the school with this pair. This time the shoes were approved. My daughter has narrow feet with a long big toe. The instructor let us know the shoe has to fit "like a glove", that toes have to touch the front of the foot without being curled in, the heel has to fit just right, that the shoe must provide proper support to the front of the foot, and above all, that the ballerina should feel comfortable with the shoe. Anyway, it was quite a learning experience. Her feet will keep on growing and changing, but I hope next time I can buy them online to save some money. At the store this shoes were $90 plus tax. We also had to purchase Ouch Pouch toe pads, elastic, and a sewing kit with thread and needle, so my daughter could finalize putting together the shoes, following the school's instructions.
