I really liked these stories but for the price of the printed edition, it would have nice to have more pages to read. Other than the price vs. page, that's my only gripe. I’m always up for a good, well-paced read, and Jackson Dean Chase provides that with this collection of stories. The reader is immediately drawn into the macabre, the unusual, and the off kilter lives of a group of young adults thrown into what can only be described as dangerous situations. Chase takes those characters, breathes life into them, and places them square into the middle of the action without losing the reader. His ability to condense those stories in no way detracts from the tension of the plot, nor the endings, which are always satisfying.I was especially happy to have the four chapter bonus preview of Drone. This is definitely a book that is now on my to be read list.I highly recommend Young Adult Fiction Best Sellers: The Best of New YA Horror, Paranormal, and Dystopian Books to all readers of those books that are different and refreshing.

Very flimsy just a handful of pages - seems like a puff piece to me - still worth looking at if you are researching the Young Adult market but the writing style didn't appeal to me, but I am an adult reader so I can't speak to the appeal it would have for Young Adults.

As usual, he's messed up 4 ways from sunday, so to speak; set and the individual books are free as far as I know, just review everything I read.

This special set of books by Jackson Dean Chase just gives you a taste of his talent in the YA Horror, Paranormal, and Dystopian genres. A story about a cemetery. Who wouldn't like that type of scare? One about werewolves, but not your typical ones. A haunted house. Everybody loves stories about scary houses. You'll never guess what this one holds for you. Be prepared. And last but not least is the dystopian story which is really different. All will hold your attention and scare you to death. I've never read such spine-chilling stories with the most shocking endings. Plus you get a sample of his formidable poems between each story and some other surprises. Jackson is clearly a leader in these genres. Try it and you will have a new ghoulish favorite author. This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

This is a fun collection of YA fiction, that I really enjoyed! Worth getting for a selection of YA from this author!
