30°C, wool blend lining Over the years, PAJAR has developed and implemented techniques to improve their high quality boots. With the addition of a patented insulating mid-sole (Iso-Lana) made up of small air bubbles between layers of aluminum, felt, and wool, Pajar boots can withstand severe cold up to -74 degrees Celsius. All seams are tape-sealed and the adhesive construction further ensures the waterproof quality of the boots. PAJAR boots are produced in a wide range of styles, materials, and colours to keep up with fashion trends. They are advertised in consumer fashion magazines and have become a necessity for trendsetters.

we still get some seriously cold days) and I am not disappointed in their function
I got these as a short version of my Greenland boots because of their grip. It's approaching springtime in the mountains and my area is still seriously icy but a little too warm for tall boots (on and off, we still get some seriously cold days) and I am not disappointed in their function. The reason these get four stars instead of five is because the rubber seems a little old and hardened (not by much but compared to the rubber in my Greenland boots which have the same sole) so I'm not sure how much longer they'll last or if they'll deteriorate faster because of this and the dome snaps don't really snap shut so the cuffs are a little flappy. It takes a bit of effort to get the boot on but I do not use the last loops which makes it a little easier, and I will take the sturdiness and ankle support all the laces give it over easiness, I'm not so busy I can't spend a minute on getting shoes on and off. All in all a warm waterproof short boot with great grip on slick ice.

Lots of laces!
I normally wear a 39 / 8.5 is my starting point (but sometimes a 40 or 38, depending on style/brand); ordered these in 39 and they fit great, with room for thick sock, but those are not necessary for a good fit. I was looking for a “stiff” soled winter boot (I do best in wooden soled clogs; no flexibility at footbed). Wore them around the house and they fit the bill. The only thing I didn’t like was all of the lacing: I need to be able to get boots on/off regularly, without a ton of effort. Returning these for the Pajar Greenland boot—which has the same sole, and a zipper.

Love These Boots!!!!!!BUT......
I am a fan of Pajar Boots. This is my second pair by this brand. Well worth the money (and I've had the other pair for at least 5 years.) They keep my feet warm, and can handle Chicago winters...It take a little work to get in them (unloosening the strings a bit) But, the second time I put the boots on I noticed that 1 of the boots had split up the back!!! I Love theses boots, so no I didn't return them. I went to a Shoe shop to get my boot fixed ( I paid $7 to have it repaired) and no problem since

Love the way they look and operate!
I've been a Midwesterner my entire life but this year is my first Chicago winter. These boots are waterproof and can stomp through almost anything. They aren't insanely warm, but they are warm enough. They don't feel toasty when you put your feet inside, but your feet don't get cold outdoors. My feet stay the same temperature the entire time I am outside. The first few times wearing them, they felt a little weird. The heel is very thick and curves up so it almost felt like I was wearing platforms but after about a week, they feel normal. Also, my feet are a little wide so I expected these to fit a bit narrow at first, which they did but they stretched after a week and a half of wear. You can't really wear thick socks with them, thin socks are much more comfortable. All in all, I love the way these boots look and operate and I would recommend them to people that understand that good boots take a little breaking in.Update:After three weeks of wearing these boots, the back started to split out of the left boot and the right one was beginning to fray. I was sad to send them back but the money I paid was too much to have to take them in to get repaired after three weeks of use.

Great boot, love the high base, but slightly short at toe.
Love the thick sole, great grip, waterproof, solid construction. Slightly small fit- short at toe. If the price was better I would’ve made work but exchanging for lower priced Iceland.

Cracking heels
Love the look of the shoe, but I don’t love how they’ve held up. I’ve only had these boots for about 2 months and the plastic heel/cup inside the lining hasn’t cracked. It’s difficult to get my foot inside the boot without “scrunching” the heel, which leads to the cracking. Unfortunately, this defect wasn’t apparent until I had worn the boots, and it’s too late to return them.

I love the shoe
I love the shoe, but it did come with a tear at the top...maybe it was used? Still kept it.
