It works great at the beginning with time the cushioning wears off with time BUT it does the job, no noise when open/close door the only thing is that when you close the door it is semi close easily self open with a breeze; I guess it is because there is no latching due to the sponge or maybe if it was thicker it would.

If your doors are tight, this may not work as it's got a lot more stuffing in it. My other door stoppers were thinner and with them the doors closed nicely. This one you have to work a little harder to shut the door,
