Blunderbuss Fuzz

Having had a taste of the Musket, I figured I'd like another great fuzz pedal with a slightly different color. Brighter sounding and aggressive, the Blunderbuss it's even gnarlier than the Musket. Just make sure to juice it up with 18 volts if you really want to hear the craziness.

Excellent tonal variation and saturation, anything from subtle to full on grinding fuzz, best addition to my pedal board this year!

Bought the blackout effectors blunderbuss fuzz from PGS during one of their promotional sales. After only an hour with this pedal, I can happily say that this is one extremely awesome fuzz pedal and its exactly what I was hoping for.The highlights for me are:1) The quality of tone. I am astounded by the clarity and the richness of the tone throughout the entire range of settings. That might sound like a weird thing to say about a fuzz pedal... What you get is a rich, thick, yet open, organic, and dynamic fuzz tone but absolutely no noticeable noise added to the signal. Even in the most extreme dark, heavy, saturated settings, all you get is beautiful pure fuzz tone. The sweeps on all of the knobs sit in just the right places on the frequency spectrum and the range of the sweep on each knob is just right.2) The flexibility in tone. This covers SO much more ground than your standard fuzz pedal. The ability to shape the low end (Focus knob), mids, and pre-circuit drive make a world of difference. Also, I really like the tonality of this pedal as compared with the original musket fuzz. Its a bit brighter, louder, and more open sounding. I would say more brash than the musket but absolutely not harsh in any way. It cuts through a bit better IMO. There is a bit less of the smooth violin-like voice available.3) It looks sexy. I can actually hear the difference!This pedal was an investment as boutique stomps go these days, but OH SO WORTH IT. Thank you Blackout Effectors and PGS!!!

I typically am not compelled to write reviews, but this is a pedal worthy of the praiseThe richness and clarity of the tone of the Blunderbuss is just breathtaking. Everything from super sustained Gilmour-esque solo tones to down and dirty stoner-metal riffs can be produced from this pedal; it is extremely versatile.I have owned and played numerous fuzz and distortion pedals in my years of playing guitar and this is the first one I've owned that I've really fallen in love with. If you're looking for a boutique fuzz and on the fence about which way to go, this is it. I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the investment.
