Brothers Complete Venison & Egg Advanced Allergy Care

My poor french bulldog is pretty much allergic to everything including chicken, potatoes, and grain. The poor guy is always itchy and will continuously scratch and lick himself until there's blood. His face is all cut up and his underarms and hind legs are scaly or covered in hives. After spending countless hours researching the best food for him, I decided to try brothers complete. I'm not saying his condition has improved significantly, but I have noticed that since he's been on this new diet for the past few months his coat is shiner, he's less itchy, and is in a better mood overall. He seems to like the taste of brothers complete (he can't get enough of the lamb flavor!) so I plan to continue to feed him this and hopefully with time his condition will improved. My only complaint is that it's a little on the expensive side!

I think this is a very good dog food but I'm having a rough time getting my dog to eat it...I'LL win in the end!!! Really want this food to stop his itchiness and scratching.The only thing I can say that I'm not happy about is the bag. It rips so easily once opened !!!

I don't know who's writing these wonderful reviews. My experience with this food is totally different. First of all I bought this from the Brothers website so it should've been fresh. Secondly, my dogs wouldn't touch the stuff. I actually sent an email to one of the brothers and I received no response. I had to put peanut butter powder on the food for my dogs to even try it. I have four dogs, two dachshunds and two toy poodles. This food gave them the worst diarrhea ever. And yes I did mix it with their old food. One of my poodles had the diarrhea so bad, her but was raw with blood sores and what I would guess to be hemorrhoids. This caused her stools to be bloody as all get out and she smelled like ass. I actually washed just her back side three days in a row to get rid of the smell and washed her bedding several times. It was awful. I was going to throw it away but my mom said she'd try it on her dogs so it wouldn't go to waste. He dogs eat everything all day long because Dad gives them everything. They also eat Purina dog food, what I call crap food. This stuff tore them up as well. And her poor chow, man did she suffer from it. The diarrhea is like a mud puddle. So gross and smelly. Mom ended up throwing this stuff out. I didn't bother with a refund. I just found a different food. They now eat Annamaet. I still have to put the peanut butter powder on the food but at least their tummies can handle this food. And the large bag of Annamaet has the zip lock on it. I've never seen that on large bags of dog food before. All I know is if you want to save your dogs from upset stomachs and raw bottoms, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS FOOD! For the price, I really expected something way better. Very disappointed.

I tried this out hoping to find something good my my dog with allergies. I thought it was a great brand but after allot of research I found out this company was charging too much for an only average product. I found several brands that were cheaper offering higher protein contents with much lower ash (6% as compared to 8.5% in this product, quite high) plus they advertise high quality protein, if so then why is the ash higher then most dog foods? The omega 3+6 are 2.5% and less then 1% which is also lower then most other high quality brands. Although the ingredients aren't bad, with a little research there are much better options for a much better price. I would recommend something under 2$ a pound, and trust me there are several venison low allergenic grain free and potato free brands under that price.

Brothers Complete made a huge difference to my dog's allergy problems. Had him on so many different diets, from raw meat patties to prescription foods, and nothing really helped his allergies and scratching. Plus he's a really picky eater. The only thing that gave him relief was the steroid pills, but they caused other digestion problems.Found Brothers Complete about a year ago, and has made him a different dog and decreased the allergies by 90%. The venison and egg formula really works for him because he is allergic to beef and chicken. I whole heartedly recommend trying this formula for anyone who has serious allergy prone dogs. The food is expensive, but has been the only formula that has made a real difference. Plus, he loves eating it.

Cured my dog's itchy skin

This is a great food. When I switched my pets to it, I did it cold turkey & they had NO stomach upsets or diarrhea associated with most dietary changes for dogs. They love it! Unfortunately, I had to stop giving it to my Rottie after finding out he's allergic to poultry. Otherwise, I definitely recommend.
