The right part!'n
It's amazing how sometimes you must get the actual replacement part, generic no matter how similar from the hardware or big box store will not fill the bill. Toilet actually has stopped running, just a little but, for months trying to find something that would work, I almost replaced the toilet.

Junk
Don't waste your money on this, it's plastic and wasn't flexible enough to even put it on and it snapped so didn't even get to see if it would work, plus it's foam also and didn't see how it was even going to work being foam under flap. It was all a piece of Junk and a waste of money.

Did not fit my Eljer toilet
Of all the flappers I have tried with the Eljer toilets in my house, this was the only one that is actually from Eljer.Oddly enough, this one is the worst I have ever purchased. It was actually buoyant and would not for a proper seal at all.I went back to the rubber universal kits and that worked like a charm.

For ** ONE PIECE ELJER** TOILETS. """"ONLY*****
This is the right flapper for the one piece toilet ballcock. Totally different than close-coupled, two piece toilets where you have a tank bolted onto a bowl.To install, put one ear of the flapper on stud of Douglas overflow tube, gently spread the other ear on the flapper and place over opposite stud of said tube and release. The flapper should the pivot up and down freely on the overflow tube studs. Now adjust bead chain for length (approx 2.5" from the flapper end) and.hook one end of stainless steel clip between the beads in the 'chain'. Make sure bead chain doesnt 'walk'...squeeze tight with pliers if it does. Now hook the other end of the clip onto a hole in the handle arm. When you flush the flapper has to open enough to let a steady rush of water though the douglas valve exit to allow flush to fully cycle. Strive for a 'goldilocks' chain lenght adjustment where actuation of the handle allows for enough water flow without puting strain on the chain. Again WILL NOT WORK ON TWO PIECE TOILETS!!!
