It's ridiculous that a $450 faucet from MOEN has a plastic nozzle but that is apparently the world we live in. This is for the Black Matte version. The rest of the faucet is metal, but for some reason they cheaped out on the handle and made it plastic. Why would they do that? Do they save $2 on manufacturing? Absolutely no one on earth looks for a $450 faucet with a plastic nozzle. When you buy a $125 faucet and it has a plastic nozzle you think I got what I paid - for so be it, but the reason you buy a $450 faucet is, among other things, to get a metal nozzle. MOEN needs to be very clear that this is a plastic nozzle on their advertising, or preferably, start making this thing with a metal nozzle. I'm honestly a little ashamed for them - they talk pretty big about their quality and "buy it for life" type marketing and then pull this.

I never write reviews, but feel compelled to do so with this product because is has been such a headache. We are now on our 4th faucet in 6 months. The sensor is doing the same thing each time: working for about two months and then turning off and on intermittently, followed by a stressful period of not working at all, and then back to the throbbing. Good news is that Moen customer service is good in sending a replacement (after being on hold for 10+ minutes). Bad news is that they are clueless to an actual solution. After this last time, they are now sending a non-motion sense faucet and "reimbursing the price difference" which is to say no $$ given that I paid much less than the ridiculously false MSRP. So please learn from my and many others (given the multitude poor reviews on Amazon alone) and BUYER BEWARE of ANY Moen MOTIONSENSE products.

I bought this two years ago and the plumber installed no problem. It has worked perfectly ever since. There was an issue with a faulty part at the very beginning but Moen has a perfect direct customer service and believe even has a system to pay for the plumber to come back and shipped me the part no charge. In the end we did not need the part and I sent it back w no shipping. Anyways, it is perfect and works wonderfully. After two years I can not imagine going back to an everyday faucet with 1890 technology (manually turning on and off all day every day of your life!. It is designed to run on batteries if you every lose power and will actually run years on the batteries if you want! This is excellently made and perfect customer service!

Purchased the matte black one for a new home. It looks beautiful! So happy with the purchase. It truly is resistant to finger prints and water marks, which I appreciate. I purchased the gold previously but it was impossible to clean after I took it out of the box so we never installed it and quickly returned it. It also took my husband about 30 mins to install easily. Would definitely recommend.

I don't seem to have the issues others have had. I placed the weight on the pull-out hose where you are supposed to. I even lowered it a bit so the hose pulls out a little more. I made sure there was plenty of unobstructed space around the pull-out hose and it works great. I did have some issues getting the weight to clamp around the hose and had to use large pliers but it worked after some squeezing. Now this is not a normal simple faucet and if you want something simple buy this without the motion sense. The motion sense takes some getting used to. Mine works very well. I've not encountered the faucet starting when someone walks in front of the sink (you may want to pull out the power cord and plug it back in to reset the sensors and be sure to follow directions, nobody standing in front of the sensors when re-booting) and when you place your hands in the sink near the lower sensor the water comes on for about 4 seconds. I can see this saving me water as I used to run the water continuously just washing my hands. To get more water move your hands to the lower sensor again. Sometimes you have to do this several times but I love the technology and water savings so I don't mind. One interesting thing I noticed is the flow of hot water, when you use the faucet manually, is rather low. I have extremely hot water (want it that way) and I believe this faucet has a non scalding feature that will allow only enough hot water flow to mix with the cold water to provide non scalding water. Nice if you have kids. A little frustrating if you want to fill a bucket with really hot water but I'll learn to be patient. And that's an interesting point to keep in mind. When using the sensors you get a mix of warm and cold water. Just warm enough to wash hands or do some dishes. If you want ONLY cold or hot you must use the handle. So be prepared to use the motion sensors for quick hand washes or rinses. Use the handle for filling pots or using hot hot water to scrub something. There are some trade-offs but I find it really handy when cooking and I need to rinse something and my hands are messy with food prep. I too noticed that when using the pull out sprayer and you switch to "stream" it can't be switched back to the full flow without allowing the faucet to shut off. Kind of interesting but not a deal buster for me.

I bought the no bells and whistles version of this faucet. The version I bought isn't voice or touch activated and doesn't have the sensor activation either. I do a lot of cooking and I'm still fine with turning it on by hand.I am the type of shopper that believes the more you ad to a product the more that can go wrong. Just give me a product that works and lasts. In my opinion most companies look to ad features so they can claim they are "innovating", but seldomly come through with providing a quality product. The metal on this faucet isn't heavy like the faucets I grew up with, but I don't think it has to be. It's in my kitchen not in the utility sink where I'm going to be banging it around.It was simple to install. I did it in about 1/2 an hour including the removal of the old faucet.Overall I love the style. I do think it's overpriced for the base model but it was also something I could live with without having buyer's remorse. At the time of purchase it was priced at $299.99. If you keep it simple you will be more than happy with this faucet.

I was concerned when I received this faucet to install in our newly renovated kitchen because the faucet head is plastic. Now that I’m using it, I understand why the lighter version makes sense - makes using the pull down feature easier without the weight of metal & it doesn’t get hot in your hand. Very happy with it so far. And the black flat finish looks great in our kitchen.

Después de instalar el producto no funcionó. El sensor no funciona y prende y apaga a su gusto, no cuando le pasan las manos para activarlo. Desafortunadamente no leí los comentarios previamente antes de comprar el producto y demasiado tarde me di cuenta que es una falla general y el sensor no funciona. La falla es la misma en muchos de lso casos.Moen directamente no se hace responsable y lo único que ofrecen es enviar un técnico con cobro ($500MXN) para determinar la falla, según ellos en la instalación y no el producto.Apenas conectas la llave a las pilas el sensor empieza a reconocer y después inicia una serie interminable de prendido y apagado a su discreción desperdiciando agua. La única forma de prevenir eso es desconectando de las pilas y con ello no se puede usar ni en forma manual, requiere siempre de las pilas incluso para el modo manual.No hay forma de apagar los sensores como viene en las instrucciones porque los sensores simplemente no funcionan!Esperaba un producto que funcionara por más de 10mil pesos que pagué o que al menos tendría el respaldo de una empresa seria en México como Moen, pero NO, argumentan que los que venden sus productos en amazon son distribuidores. Ahora estoy en proceso de devolución y esperando mi reembolso, que por cierto ya tomó mas de 1 semana!!

The front facing sensor is garbage. It does off randomly and often when you don't want it to. It also gets "stuck" quite often where you try to turn it on manually and the lights start flashing but no water comes out. Replacing the battery doesn't work. This product is crap.

Don’t buy this. It doesn’t work. We had this installed into our new kitchen. The front sensor goes off randomly whenever your put your hand near the sink. I can’t even explain how many unnecessary messes this faucet has caused because it turned on without warning. I ended up trying to cover the front sensor with some tape but that just made things worse.The faucet now randomly goes off, wasting water. We tried resetting it and changing the batteries. But it has a mind of it’s own.This is not what we had in mind when we bought this overpriced, high-tech faucet.Don’t waste your time. We’re getting a new faucet.

This is a beautiful faucet w/ spray. Love the swan neck and discreet pull down spray. It works well and has a water control build in. Installed on a whitish Calacutta/ Americana marble, stunning.
