I was pretty excited to receive the oven / grill mitts as I am one that always burn myself so I thought this would be a great to see if they would be for me if they really work. then another thing is I love bbq and I seen a book that came with it. But when I received my gloves I didn't receive my book that was a very bad down fall. These mits really do the job. I am able to hold hot pot handles and baking trays without fear of being burned. The color is a deep pink - just as described. I'm pleased with this purchase.

These pink silicon BBQ gloves were a little daunting when I opened the package: BRIGHT pink, rubbery (ie silicon), floppy. But I like a cheerful look in the kitchen so the color is great!These gloves are not stretchy so you have to have a medium-sized hand for them to fit. Not a one size fits all glove. If they do fit, hand will fit into the glove, which is nice. You don’t have to struggle with right hand vs left hand glove.The performance: I find these gloves to be questionable in the kitchen. The silicon is supposed to keep my hands safe from temperatures as high as 500 degrees. I like to roast vegetables in a very hot oven and when they are done, I want to take them out RIGHT then! So, the test…..honestly, I first decided to try a lower heat product. When I pulled a glass pan out of a 350 degree oven, the heat was felt pretty quickly, so I did NOT try a 500 degree roast pan! The heat was also retained in the glove, making it uncomfortable even after I put the glass casserole pan down. I was able to hold the pan for about 20 seconds before needing to put the pan down and take the gloves off. I won’t use them for kitchen tasks other than taking out of the oven to put on a counter. I wouldn’t use it them if I need to hold the hot container for any length of time, as in serving or for transferring food from the hot pot to another container.On smaller hands, the gloves can feel bulky, but the grip is good, even if bulky. I would use them as a great grip for slippery items or glass jars or for holding a spoon while stirring a hot soup that could spatter and burn. I also think they make a cute trivet for hot dishes on the counter. I would also use them on the grill just as a fire-proof protectant while turning the food, etc.I received this product at a discount for the purpose of testing and reviewing, but that has no bearing on my opinion. All of my comments are from my personal experience and are honest.

Big improvement over our other gloves. Still have to be careful when handling very hot items but provides good protection if you are not asleep at the wheel when around hot ovens.

AWESOME HEAT GLOVES!!! USED IN 450 OVEN LAST NIGHT, AND MY HANDS DIDN'T EVEN GET WARM!!!

Let me first say I've been wanting one of these for awhile. They are fantastic. Easy to put on and off. Easy to hang up.My husband used them as well and he enjoyed them. Cooked at 400 degrees and never felt the heat of the dish at all. Placed just our hand on the rack and it was 12 seconds before we felt some warmth. Looking forward to using these on the grill.
