this is as large as it is described in the product listing. very large as it shown. it is not plastic and the kite was build with ripstop nylon cloth with printed image. the bird body and wing are sew together with curve. much better looking construction than some of the similar kite on the market. the spread bar are cfk and carbon rod not plastics. the bird wing is swap back and body are curve. this all is under $18 usd! remarkable. the workman ship is bit off. there are a lot lose threads left at end of binding tap. it will not get any point in any of the kite competition for the workmanship! as a seasoned kite maker myself, i am shame of the person who sew this together. guess you get to do the job fast to earn a living, some corner has be cut. anyway, it will not affect the flight. as it is bird kite, it is not launch and left it alone kind of flying. it requires a lot tlc to keep it in the sky. a fast paying flying wheel is recommended for any this kind kite. just ordered one from the same site. works great. if the bird dive, run toward it and at same time pay out line. once it recovers, tight the line up. keep no slack in the fly ling and constant tension. it is a lot of fun. a blast to fly. go fly a kite and may wind always be good.update: it was a great flyer! very easy to launch and fly straight and high. an average angle of 75 degrees. it needs tlc to bring it down. it stays up and very stable.

Bought this for my brothers birthday and he loves it. Fly's in a low breeze, easy to assemble and fly.

I bought this kite about a week ago and was thoroughly impressed with it from initial quality to cost perspective. I unfortunately got about a days use from it before I broke one of the fiberglass rods. I was attempting to launch it in a really high wind situation when it broke, I'd say it was partly my fault.The kite fooled a few family members as they thought it was an actual Eagle hovering above from a short distance. It looks pretty realistic.My one real complaint is the length of kite string. While I don't know the actual length of this kit, it left me wishing is bought a separate string kit with more length.In the end, I'm going to buy another one of these and use my remaining parts as spares should I happen to break another piece on the new kit.

I thought buying this kite was the best choice of all because of the eagle's wings were so large. I purchased this for my grandson to help celebrate my nephew's birthday. But to my pure disgust, this beautiful kite almost sent me to the hospital. The instructions were terrible and the hardware was flimsy. In an attempt to assemble it, the rods had broken and caused me to have several splinters in my fingers and in the palm of hand. This kite never flew off the ground and this was a wasted purchase. I will never, ever purchase this or any other product from this company. I feel like the only thing that flew away was my money!!!!The only reason for the one-star rating is because it would not allow me to submit my review without rating it.

The kite looks like a real eagle, and the color are vivid and realistic. However, the frame sticks are made of a bad quality material. They broke before I was able to make it fly. I really wanted this too work, but I feel very disappointed. Hopefully, we can find other sticks to substitute for the broken ones.

We got this for a beach trip to Thailand. Looks cool, big, easy to fly - if there's enough wind for some white-caps - you're good to go. I thought it might be impossible to disassemble and re-use, but it's easy! and we had no trouble putting it back in it's case. Light and small enough to pack into a carry-on suitcase or backpack. Fun and great value - Highly recommended.
