Ideal design for comfort and breathing!
Any complaints about this are silly. Best mask I’ve tried, and I’m picky! Yes, some assembly required on the sincher thingies, but just get a skilly coat hanger or something to push straps through the holes is 5 minutes well spent on awesome tightening mechanism.Fabric is indeed interesting, almost a denim, but I think ideal for a mask as it retains form, allowing a pocket of air in front of your mouth/nose making it very easy to breathe. If concerned about it going thru the wash...hand wash it with some dish soap in the kitchen sink and let it air dry for a few hours, easy peasy! This mask stays on by itself, easy to pop on and off, and easy to breathe! First mask I can exercise in without going nuts or suffocating.

Highly adjustable - good for men who can't find a mask that covers the face and stays put.
This mask is very good at covering a wide area so when it is properly fixed to the head, it doesn't require you to constantly fix it from moving off your nose. Even if you talk through it a lot. You're given the option of tying the straps together or using the plastic slip catches that come with the product. I threaded the straps thru the slip-catches and then tight a simple knot to keep the straps from coming out. This makes it quick and easy to put on and remove. The lower strap goes over the head and rests on the neck and the upper strap is tightened around the upper part of the skull. Quick adjustments makes for a snug fit which is crucial for the mask to be effective. It requires a little effort to breathe though but that's how you know it's working properly. Hand wash the mask for reuse. This is the only mask I've found that fits properly on my big head. I will continue to buy more as needed.

Just what I needed!!!
I just ordered a pair of these for my 17 year old son, he has microtia, no right ear, and Covid presented us with quite a problem. The ear loop masks don’t work for him since he’s an ear short and everything I found with ties, the ties weren’t long enough to tie around his large head. He’s been using an ear loop mask paper clipped at the back of his head. This mask is just what he needed. It’s really soft material, he wears it all day at school, and the straps are long, stretchy and adjustable. Thank you! Thank you! He loves it!!!

comfy, easy to use. thin, glasses fog. Offers limited protection. great for neighborhood walks
This is a couple layers of T shirt material with ties in back (which i like). The quick release allows you to make the elasticized straps tighter or looser and leave them set there, or pull the mask down when you're driving so you can free your face when you're in your car and pull it back up to do the next errand.I think it works better than a bandana and better than a lot of those 'fake medical' earloop masks that are like a piece of paper that is sitting in front of nose and mouth, not a real mask. Especially since people don't open up the accordion bits so it covers their whole lower faces and chins. If the mask doesn't seal, it isn't protecting you or anyone around you. This does seal, but it is too porous. So it's very convenient for quick errands or going to walk a dog... but when I'm going into the supermarket or somewhere I will be dealing with or around multiple people, I wear my old N95 mask under it.1) the N95 offers needed extra protection because, old as it is and crappy as it has begun to look, it still makes a nice firm seal... and I sanitize it, so it's clean and it hasn't made my face break out.2) if i wear the purian mask alone for any length of time, it fogs my glasses. This is not an issue walking outdoors in the neighborhood, but pretty much if I am indoors it fogs up b/c it is made of porous, breathable material and there's no metal nose piece to pinch down and close gaps, and no rubberized nose foam against my nose to create a seal. As a former first responder, I was used to wearing masks and also used them for remediating mold and doing woodwork...I'm used to wearing a mask for 6-8 hours over the course of a day (though before this mess started, usually *not* the same mask).**I don't wear a mask to 'look like' my face is covered, I wear it to protect me from the public *and* the public from me. **Plus: mask is comfy and easy to adjust. probably won't cause breakouts. washable.Minus: mask gives limited protection unless worn with a second mask that does the protecting.bottom line: I wish this had a pocket for a filter and a metal nose piece... but then, the truth is, I wish I had an N95 grade mask that was this comfortable.

Good Idea / Bad Product
I don't want cords pulling on my ears, so I was hoping these Purian face covers would solve that problem. Unfortunately, although I like the basic design and idea of this mask, the product is deeply flawed.Beyond the maddening feeding of straps into the cord-lock bead and adjusting the unadjustable nose clip -- there's the itchy polyester material that, on the inside, pills and shards like crazy. I had never worn the masks. I simply put them in the wash for the first time -- and the back side of the material dissolved into some sort of stringy, linty mess. The masks are not unwearable, but the thin strings are uncomfortable -- and of course, the white lint gets on the front. One star. There's nothing quite as bad as a good idea -- poorly executed.

Don’t listen to the negative Nancies
Okay. Don’t listen to the other reviewers saying it’s impossible to breathe through. Yes it is not as easy as without a mask but this actually helps filter a little bit. Don’t listen to the people who can’t get the straps through the little clamp things. Don’t be silly, use a small safety pin and attach them together, and then simply pull them through. Common sense is an issue for some people! The safety pin works otherwise it is really difficult to get them through. You never have a need to take them apart after that though! The strings are a little short but they stretch ALOT! Be safe out there!
