Betsy and Tacy Go Downtown (Betsy-Tacy, 4)

I loved the Betsy-Tacy books when I was a child, and I am delighted to see my granddaughters loving the books now. A delightful series, especially for girls.

My favorite book in the series. Shows life in early 1900's as a simpler time.

This was exactly the edition I read as a child and it felt so good to be reading it again. If you've never read the Betsy-Tacy books, you should try them, especially if you like kid's books and/or old-fashioned things. They're charming and fun. The illustrations are perfect.

Yeah it was written for young girls but this 52 year old man thoroughly enjoyed. Read it cover to cover on a plane from Tampa to Minneapolis then passed it on to an 8 year old girl.

This is the 4th in a series of books about a girl named Betsy and her friends and family. Each book is wonderfully written and illustrated, have read and re-read them. Highly recommend!

Great classic book series. My daughter and son both enjoy it as a bed-time story.

My daughter was so excited when she saw this gift for her birthday. She ran over and gave me the biggest hug and said: "This is the best book ever, because you can read it over and over."

Her books are such a big part of my childhood, my daughter's childhood and now my granddaughter is in for such a treat.
