Catholic Wedding Bible - NABRE

This is expensive (although Amazon will increase or decrease prices based on reviews and ratings, it was $50.98 when I bought it). I've had a few "cheap" bibles (actually a lot), and a few pricey ones, but this is the most costly one I've ever bought.The measurements are on the product info. It is a big bible, kind of like a school textbook size. It is silver edged. There is a beautiful family record section, colorful pictures, and background details about the Catholic Church. There is NO ribbon marker, the font is small (I'm thinking it's a 6 or 7). The text of the bible is formatted into 3 columns. The words of Jesus is NOT in red. It has the complete canon books of the Catholic faith. There are beautiful (colorful) pictures throughout the book.I've included pictures, but there are a few things I want to address (as I hope this helps a fellow buyer): one person incorrectly wrote that this is not the bible. That person is WRONG. I can see how she came to that conclusion though, which meant she did not take the time to actually look through it, but probably just flipped through a few pages instead. Ignore that woman's review. The Book of Genesis starts on page 10 (it's actually really like on the 40th page or so, but they don't put numerals on the first few pages).Another reviewer claimed she received a used copy instead. Now, I don't know what her situation was, but my advice is to buy directly from Amazon as the seller. Make sure it says ship AND sold by Amazon, because Amazon might ship a product, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are the seller of the item. For those of you who frequently shop on Amazon like me, you already know that - that piece of info was for the novice online shopper.My bible came in a beautiful gift box, inside the gift box was the bible. The bible was wrapped in plastic, so right away my concerns that it wasn't new were relieved. Now, if you're wanting to fill out the gift page section or write a personal sentiment in the bible for someone, then you'll have to break the plastic seal... but it does come with its own gift box, like I've said.A great gift for an engagement party/bridal shower, anniversary, or wedding.

This Catholic Family Bible came shrink-wrapped inside a beautifully decorated box, which was in perfect condition. I left the box containing the Bible inside the Amazon shipping box (removed the mailing stickers) and wrapped the shipping box. Then I placed that in a large gift bag.I wish I had taken a photo (didn't think of it) but I already gave it to her yesterday at the Bridal Shower. When she opened the gift, she exclaimed, "Oh, we were just talking about buying one of these!" Though I didn't remove the shrink-wrap to inspect the Bible, the box clearly states how it is to be used on the Wedding Day to record various items, and of course, it is something that will be passed down to family over the years. I have the one that my late mother and father received for a wedding gift back in 1951. She is registered in three different places, but I like to get a gift that is thoughtful and more of a surprise than "Oh, here is the coffee maker that I wanted."

This Catholic Bible was bought for a Wedding gift. It is beautiful and was packaged Exceptionally Well !!! It arrived sooo Fast and was brought to my home by a Super Great Delivery person! It was placed nicely out of the rain ! Thank you to all who took great care of my Bible ! 🤗

I purchased this bible for my daughter's bridal shower. I had it blessed and both she and her soon to be husband loved it. I wrote a note I side explaining how my family on my wedding day gave me my bible. Now I want to continue the tradition. When the time comes and her children marry. She will give them a bible as well. Traditions are wonderful and nothing says it better than our bible. This bible is reasonably priced and it's beautiful as well. Don't forget when you have your bible blessed, have the priest sign his name inside. Makes it so much more special . I hope this helped you in your decision. Oh by the way, it came in two days !

Beautiful bible and good quality

This was an absolutely perfect gift for my son and his new bride. Despite what I read in one review it IS a Bible. The print is small, and the layout is similar to a newspaper in columns. There are MANY extras including a large family record section for those big Catholic families, family readings for Lent/Easter and Advent/Christmas, wedding readings, etc. It also came in a lovely gift box.The price was very reasonable for what you receive (the one I ordered was around $50) I plan to keep this on my short list of gifts to give for Catholics who are getting married. My son and daughter in law love theirs!

Really liked the size and all the added sections like the stations of the cross, common prayers, and the family tree section

I bought this for my Daughters & New Son-in-law's Wedding gift. I told them they may not look at it today but sometime in the future they may wipe the dust off of it and read it and possibly finding an answer from God. It is a valuable gift to give someone from your heart to their heart. It will be a life time gift. You will never find it in a garage sale like other things giving for wedding presents.
