I have been a gas appliance repair tech for about 30 years and replaced many ignitors. Most stock ignitors the company bought would work, some needed modifications and some needed the factory original. I'm retired now and in need of an ignitor for my 5 year old Kenmore range. I used the search tool to look for my replacement and this one came up. While the ignitor itself is identical the metal mounting shroud wasn't and the OEM didn't have a shroud covering the business end. I installed it then tested, burner came on with a big poof (delayed ignition), quite nerving. So what I did was to unmount the ignitor and carefully, (use extreme caution as filament is extremely fragile if you attempt this) pull the ignitor out of the mounting bracket it came with and installed it with the OEM bracket. Now burner comes on smooth as silk and my wife is happy.

Lights my oven faster than the 5y old stock one, came with the ceramic wire nuts which was nice. Still takes approximately 45 seconds to light but way better than the old one @1.5 minutes to possibly not lighting.The bad had to bed 1 ear down to clear the lower guard so have a pair of pliers handy. But compared to the roughly $90-100 for a factory one was worth fighting with it a bit.Would be better if it lit faster

The item was great. It fit perfectly into the slot where my oem one came out. I only wish that this one came with those ceramic wire nuts.

Edgewater is a NJ wholesale company with an retail store using Amazon. The ignitor for our stove worked perfect for about 1/3 the cost of the OEM part. A call to the wholesale company CSR was excellent and the rep confirmed the part would fit my stove. It was perfect and saved $$. Highly recommend Edgewater for your parts needs
