About FreeStyle With the extremist in mind, FreeStyle has created an extensive collection of innovative performance watches that will go with you to the edge and back--whether you're surfing, skiing, biking, or hiking. Established in 1981, Freestyle Watches was the brainchild of a couple of Surfers whose mission was to create a watch line that could withstand the abusive conditions of their beach lifestyle. Their experience told them very few watches on the market could stand up to the daily abuse of salt water and sand. The result was The Shark Freestyle watch, a lightweight, low profile, and extremely durable timepiece that was immediately demanded by athletes all over the world. P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); Twenty-eight years ago, a couple of surfers turned a simple observation into a cultural icon. Nowhere could they find a watch that would withstand the abusive conditions of their lifestyle, and the damaging effect of salt water and sand. Necessity being the mother of invention, Freestyle was born. Freestyle has since evolved into a diverse collection of watches ranging from the iconic Shark watch to athlete designed signature time pieces. History Freestyle was the first surf watch brand in the US. Since 1981, Freestyle has been making durable, dependable, stylish watches all built to withstand the abuses of the high-intensity, rider lifestyle, both in and out of the water. It is an authentic, credible action sports brand with roots in surf and founded on performance, providing stylish performance timepieces with enduring quality and durability, while maintaining competitive, affordable pricing. Great for women or kids
My husband remembers wearing this brand throughout his childhood. He really wanted to get one for our eight year old boy. This one seemed small enough for him so we decided to try it. It is the perfect size! Typically, the kid style has Velcro but this style is easy to put on and comfortable. The digital numbers are clear and easy to read. It seems accurate and easy to use.He wears it everyday, even to bed. It has a stop watch and an alarm. It really does work great. We are super happy with the purchase.

After a couple weeks of wearing the watch it started ...
Update 07/31:Two more screws have come out from the watch. This watch is suppose to be able to go through water and the ocean and it couldn't make it through another week. My job is sitting at a call center, I'm not getting this wet or banging it against anything and it's fallen apart so quickly.Original:After a couple weeks of wearing the watch it started to fall apart. I don't do any sports or get it wet, I use it for my call center job.The screws came undone and the top started to come off. Also the way you have to tuck the extra material in makes the material fray and come apart.

Shark-ed!
I teach ESL and I was constantly looking down at my phone to check the time. I tell my students no phones in the classroom and I here I am, constantly checking mine. So I decided to go back to circa 2000 and buy a watch. I remembered Shark watches from seventh grade and was like, sure why not? I was surprised that watches were still kind of expensive being that they're almost dinosaurs at this point, but meh, what can you do? I found this one because it was simple, waterproof, and got the job done. It's a great watch. It has two settings for time, alarm, and a stopwatch, and a few other things I don't really know how to do. It came with instructions but I'm not going to lie, I didn't really read them, but since Shark watches are pretty similar, I found instructions online for a similar Shark watch and read those when I went to set the date and time. I use the stopwatch to time things, too, and it works great and is easy enough to figure out. It's a great watch - durable, waterproof, stays on, and, of course, tells time.

Crazy complicated instructions and toggles between time modes too easily
Got this watch, there were no instructions. Went on-line to find them which proved to be a challenge. Got the instructions and really had to work at it because they were not exactly correct. In wearing it, find the watch switches from alarm time to foreign time on its own so, have to hit the button to make sure the time you are looking at is the time of day. Not very good product at all. Looks okay though.

Wearable and small enough. My favorite watch brand, even though it broke after rough use.
I love this brand. I wear it every day all day in showers, pools, etc. This fabric one did end up with some fraying on the ends after months of use and eventually was pulled apart, but it took a lot. I wish the return window was a little longer or it had a warranty, since mine finally broke after rough use. However, as a female that dresses in outfits that contrast this watch a lot, the fabric one with the face on the inside of my wrist was subtle enough that it didnt bother me to wear it with dresses, etc.Despite mine breaking, I recommend this watch. the rubber version i have still is in perfect condition.

I wouldn't recommend this product
If you're in the dark or dusk lighting, don't count on the back light of this watch to work! It barely stayed on, and if it did, it only stayed lit for about a millisecond. I only need a watch for when I'm out surfing, so I won't have a need for the back light, but for someone who does, I wouldn't recommend this product. I've had Shark watches before and they've all worked better than this one. To seller: if you're going to sell a product, guarantee that ALL features work!

Good basic digital watch
I needed a replacement digital watch that needed to be water resistant. This watch fits the bill fine. I do like the styling of the watch, but there are a couple of things that are a little irksome. I have pretty small wrists and I need the third to the last hole on the strap. That means that the end comes un-tucked quite often and sticks out. I wish the date were displayed with the time always, instead the date is displayed at the press of a button. Only the day of the week is shown with the time. The countdown time cannot be set for any length of time, only at 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45, and 60 minute intervals.

Best water watch for the money.
I have had 3 Freestyle Women's Shark watches, and have loved them all! Just know that when the battery finally goes, (and that takes an average of 5 years) it makes more sense to just buy another, because if you wear it as much as I do, the band, and crystal are already wiped out. I wear this watch in the ocean, the pool and kayaking, and am lost without it.For the money, this is a super bargain. It has no frills, but who needs that when you just need to keep track of time!
