The original soundtrack to really rosie.A very nice cd.

This is bar none the best children's sing along soundtrack around. I first enjoyed this as a child in the seventies, then purchased it for my class of pre-schoolers in the nineties who loved singing along and learning their ABC's and seasons with tunes like Chicken Soup With Rice and Aligators All Around. Now in the 21st Century, I've bought both the video and the cd for my young daughter and she is sure to grow up loving the tunes. It's amazing how I recalled every word of songs like Pierre and One Was Johnny after so many years! Ms. King's voice lends itself perfectly to the sweet melodies of this soundtrack, and adults will love singing along as each song tells a story about Rosie and her bunch of friends and the lessons they learn. I recommend also buying the video if you can find it, and sharing this one with all the kids in your life. This one stayed with me from childhood to adulthood.

I was given the LP version of this from my grandfather when I was 5. My grandfather sold records for Pickwick (which became RCA) back in the 70's. I loved the imagination of Carole King, the songs take you away to another place. Her voice makes the songs come to life. I always wanted my kids to experience this music too, but long ago I had gotten rid of the record. Now it is possible again!

I grew up on Carole King and Maurice Sendak, so I wanted my son (18 months) to get to know both of these artists, too. When I started to play this album for him, he immediately started dancing in a circle and cooing. I also use it in my classroom, and there is nothing quite so adorable as hearing a room full of 12 year old boys quietly singing "Chicken Soup With Rice" while they work.

It was a perfect Christmas present! Memories of a wonderful childhood filled with Carol King’s music!

This album was great. When I actually found it, I had to get it fast. I used to listen to this album when my mother bought it for me endlessly (this was when I turned 8 or 9). Now, my 3 boys love it. While I forgot how some of the songs are rather graphic (I had memorized all the songs when I was little and was able to sing along once more after hearing them again) they are great for boys.

This is exactly as I remember it and my grand daughter loves it like my children and neice and nephew did. I only like the musical cd, as it is great car music etc.... the video does little or nothing for me. However my dislike for the look of maurice sendaks work may be why I dislike the video..... so judge for yourself. However the audio is magically fun!

Loved this 30 years ago and my granddaughter who is almost 4 loves it now. The song/stories by Maurice Sendak are funny and engaging. The music is by Carol King. What could be better? The CD arrived promptly and in good shape.

For me, a great discovery. So entertaining; beautiful, even :).

The music is fantastic, but the disc seemed to be some sort of Asian knock-off (unsure, but apparently).

たまたま映画『怪獣たちのいるところ』のサントラを購入するついでに表示されたので購入。もともとキャロルキングは大好きで、何枚かアルバムは持っているのですがこのサントラは初めて知りました。ってかえらい古いやん！！　まあキャロルキング自身の年齢もかなりキングなのでこの古さも納得、という感じでとにかく聞いてみる。いいですね、具体的にどの曲がどう、とかいうのはこの際ナシで（笑）、家でのんびりする時なんかには最適ではないでしょうか。しかしこの落ち着き払ったBGMのアニメ『おしゃまなロージー』って一体、、、？むしろそっちのほうが気になっちゃいました。

ついに単独来日公演も決まったキャロル・キング。アニメのBGMということで敬遠されてる方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、けっこういいんです。ものはモーリス・センダックの絵本をアニメ化した作品で、日本版でもDVDが出ています。とにかく、センダックが書いた数え歌的なもの、ABCを覚えるためのものなどの、子どものために一生懸命考えたであろう、凝ったテキストをそっくりそのままキャロルが曲つけて歌っちゃった。その才能の凄さに改めて脱帽。もちろんピアノもグルーヴィーなアレンジも最高。

シンガーソングライターの女王キャロル・キングが残した子供向けのアルバム。もともと卓越したポップセンスを持つ人だけに、ここに含まれる子供向け楽曲はこれまでのキャリアの中でも特にポップの純度が高いように感じる。名作「つづれ織り」もいいが、本作もキャロル・キングが本来持っているポップアーティストとしての一面をより楽しめるのではないかと思う。
