Cost effective wire fishing solution
Very thin but strong. Works great for pulling wires through small areas.

Great for cable pulling.
This worked great for pulling network cables through my attic. I would call this semi-rigid material. It lies straight, but is very flexible. It worked perfect for what I needed. If you need to push it long distances or aim for a small hole, I would recommend the thicker fiberglass sectional fish tape.

Works great and it's cheap, what's not to like?
I bought this fish tape to assist in running some wire in my home theater. I ran a piece of conduit in the ceiling for HDMI to run between my AVR and the projector. I didn't want to spend much as I don't expect it'll get much use, but I did need something. This fit the bill. It was cheap and it worked out great for me. Worked perfectly to snake through the conduit and use it to pull the HDMI through. I would note you should use a little caution when unrolling it. It doesn't have the case around it so if you let it, I am sure it will fly everywhere and bird nest on you. I just took my time letting it out and when I rolled it back up, again took my time and used three velcro straps hold everything together once it was rolled back up. Bottom line is if you need one and don't want to spend much, this will get the job done.

what I always wanted
Running cable in finished buildings is always a labor intensive challenge. This just saved me hours of attic scooting. I pushed lots of it thru a tiny hole, reached a hook pole across nearly 20 feet and hooked onto it, and retrieved it back to where I was. Genius. Wish I had this years ago, very unique stuff - unrolls to a flexy non coiled bendy rod. Hope I get to use it again before I die.

5 Stars For Occasional Wire Fishing On A Budget
Is this a true 5 Star product? Not really. Is this a 5 Star product for the price? Yes.Item works to fish wires, but it is a pain to keep from unrolling and springing all over the place. I probably spent more time unrolling and rolling this back up neatly than I did actually pulling the wire. I thought I could interchange my other fish-stick attachments with this, but the sizes were different. That was my fault for assuming they would be the same.

First choice for when you need to get a fishtape in a packed raceway
As a commercial electrican thirty years running I have used all sorts of fishtapes most of which cost 5 or ten times as much as this one, usually for good reason. What is so special about this is that it is only 1/8 of an inch in diameter. Yes, the tape can't stand up to excessive abuse; one too tight a bend and it is toast; I have cheerfully snapped 3 of them already. It Will not replace a steel tape or 1/4" cross section glass or plastic, but it is not meant for general pulling of multiple wires anyway. But it can get you out that "I just need two more wires in that pipe" pinch simply can't be done by any other tool. And for $12.99. Very handy screw on and interchangeable ends, so you could daisy chain if desired. But do put a little tape on the threads so the ends don't get lost mid pull-or push.

way too stiff
broke the first time I used it. too stiff to make the bend from outside a wall to inside. So irritated, I don't know if I want to hassle with returning it
