I read a lot of the bad reviews before ordering this set, but I took the risk and I am glad I did. I did get a complete set, including Wyrd - for those of you who DON'T know -- THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE A BLANK ONE. The blank rune, when drawn, represents fate and the unknown. Did you receive it as an answer to a question? Then either you're not supposed to know, the answer is unclear, it's none of your business, or anything at all could happen. And no, they don't lay flat - the picture is misleading, but they're /stones/, rocks don't conveniently come in flat shapes! The little bag they come in is flimsy, but the little bag was tucked down inside a nice little cardboard box.

These are small (the size of a quarter or smaller), round stones. They’re cold to the touch, so I suspect they’re real bloodstone. Some of the stones are as smooth as expected, but some are slightly rougher and duller (not like raw stones though). The engraving isn’t bad considering the stones are rounded and small, but there are small quality issues with some of the runes. The bag provided was a decent size to hold all the stones. These aren’t perfect or over the top amazing, but I like them. If you need detailed information about the runes like I do (I’m just starting to learn and this is my first set), you’ll want to purchase a separate book.

Highly recommend, every stone seemed hand picked each one had its own unique beauty. It’s a good gift for someone!

They came earlier than anticipated. Even though the engravings and paint isn’t perfect, I love it for the fact is it’s more personalized for me. When you take into account that they were done by hand it’s adds that extra love and make this rune set extra special to me.

These do not look like the photo. I already initiated my return. Crappy plastic, not made of crystal. Clearly made in a large production mold. Thin, very bad quality, paint all over them, not just in the grooves of the plastic.

The runes themselves look fine. But the packers tied a very tight double knot in the drawstring that I for one could not undo, and then they taped down the drawstring to the very cheap bag, which left adhesive on the drawstring and started the bag raveling. So I had to buy another bag. Correction: 20 bags, because you can't buy just one.
