The Kitten Owner's Manual: Solutions to all your Kitten Quandaries in an easy-to-follow question and answer format

There's a lot of good information in here--it's been a long time since I've had a kitten. The thing that really annoyed me was in the foods section, when she gave brands of recommended foods. It seems like this could have been an area where she could have said just what to look for in a good cat food instead of making comments about bargain grocery brands. The three brands she mentions are Eukanuba, Iams, and Science Diet. These are more expensive foods, but they have fillers like corn meal and by-products in the first five ingredients. Those are not things a cat should be eating. And those are the same things that are in grocery brands. Yet she recommends switching to an environmentally friendly anti-freeze. (I do think that would be a good idea--but if you're going to recommend that, you'd think you'd be concerned with what the cats are eating).

The binding was falling apart.

I've had the privilege of the company of several cats - my last was 15 when he passed. So, I'm not a novice, but it's been 15 years since I had a kitten so when we adopted Teddy I wanted a refresher. Most of the info was familiar to me but I did appreciate the new-to-me info on leash training and also on clipping nails and cleaning ears.

Fairly good book. Hard to find subject matter with the question and answer format but pretty good content. I prefer a more traditional approach, but then I am a little nerdy so who knows. I guess it just boils down to "To each his own" and we all pick what we prefer.

I gave this to a friend who has a kitten. And I understand the book has help which is why I bought it.

This book arrived in a very short time frame. Full of great advise on raising your kitten. I learned a lot from this book. I would recommend purchasing this book.
