Great Series
Another great read by this author. I have seen some of the criticism with regard to this particular story about the trauma that Fiona went through and that she would not have trusted a man this quickly after what she suffered. Lets remember this is fiction and even trauma victims need people to help them. Cookie rescued Fiona, I can totally see how she would turn to him and trust him to take care of her. This is not a stretch of the imagination. What I love about this author and her stories is that, the couples meet quickly and the story is nearly 99% about the couple and their own relationship. Yes the minor characters are there but they do not take over each couple's story. I love the simplest of it being a love story around a story line that deals with the couple issues and how they deal with them. The story are faced paced and totally engross, to me at least.I am enjoying the series.

Loving this series!
Another great book in this series and another great couple. I loved Fiona as a character, she might be quiet and unassuming but like in the previous books the lady has spine of steel. I love Stoker's male characters, the fact that the know their own mind and they don't play stupid mind games with women, they show compassion and respect, nothing sexier then that! Looking forward to listening to the rest of the books in this series.

5 Stars!!!On mission in Mexico, the SEAL’S had to find the Senator’s daughter and bring her home. Cookie never expected to find another hostage, not fully prepared but determined Cookie gets the women out and leads them to safety.Fiona had lost count of how long she had been chained up; she doubted she would ever see civilization again. When Cookie showed up she knew it wasn’t for her, surprised by Cookie taking her hand, she promised she wouldn’t slow them down. The SEAL’S knew missions could be full of surprises, but this was one surprise they never expected. Love can be found in the unlikeliest of ways, but one thing Cookie knew for sure was Fiona was HIS!Cookie and Wolf right now are fighting for top spot in my SEAL’S ranking! Susan Stoker again has pulled at my heart strings and given me another hot SEAL to swoon over; I could not put this book down. Cookie and Fiona’s story was full of surprises, Susan Stoker did not disappoint! I loved how strong Fiona is even after all the trauma she had been through. Cookie was amazing, he hadn’t been sent to save Fiona but he sure as hell wasn’t leaving her behind. The SEAL team is a family, and that includes the SEAL’S women. Caroline, Alabama and Fiona become the best of friends; these strong women don’t make it easy for the SEAL men. Susan writes about strong female and male leading characters, this is just one of the things I love about the SEAL series! I look forward to not only reading the next book in this series but every book in this series! If you love romance, suspense, HOT SEAL’S and strong female leads you will absolutely love the Seal of Protection series by Susan Stoker!**Protecting Fiona is the 3rd book in the SEAL of Protection Series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it's recommended you read the books in order to get maximum enjoyment out of the series.**

**spoiler alert** Sadly too unrealistic and lacking credibility-
I like this writers overall style, she has a good pace and flow. However this story is just not credible, artistic licence notwithstanding.A traumatized woman, however strong doesn't physically or mentally overcome her ordeal in the space of a few days. She has been malnourished, riddled with parasites and bug bites and had cuts, sores and abrasions which all seem to have miraculously disappeared. She has been abused in other ways too but this is almost brushed aside. I wanted to like this book., but I couldn't. Fiction only works if the world in which it is set is believable and real to the reader. This book stretched belief to beyond breaking point. The concept of this story was good, but sadly it didn't work as this short novel.

I just cried, she had to go through so much. susan does an amazing job with this story her strongest yet, its well written and she has done her research of this subject. its not pretty, the discriptions of conditions and the symptoms of drug withdrawal are hard to read and imagine unless you have been through it or are close to someone that has. well done susan stoker

View all my reviews

One of my faves
This is one of my favourite Susan Stoker books. Action, suspense, alpha male, heroic heroine and always a lesson to learn. Susan brings to light so many different topics with her books. In this one the often overlooked situation of human trafficking. Her writing as always is brilliant, she brings a connection with all her characters. Love it.
