"universal"
Not universal. Can be tailored to fit a vehicle, but every device chassis is going to be different. The harness was 100% correct, and the dash kit did work with a bit of 'customization.' If you have a Dremel and a cutting wheel, get it out. If you don't have a Dremel, buy or borrow one.Instructions were marginal, if you're handy you'll figure it out.

It works but...
It fit my 2005 Silverado. It required alot of work though there are several tabs you have to cut yourself and do some sanding. 4 starts not 5 because my package was missing a space so I had to 3D print my own but end result is exactly what I wanted.

Perfect for a 99-07.5 Silverado or Sierra
You’ll want to wire the red power to the fuse panel or the AC loom underneath if you have steering wheel controls. It fits beautifully, you should remove all the tabs it says to and she fits like a glove

Cheaply made
This kit works but it is a little flimsy. If the part where the screws bolted to the dash was thicker, it would be a lot better.

Works but know this…
It’s an all in one kit for way too many vehicles. Gone are the days of adapters just for one car. Very clever though. Just remove the tabs that you don’t need. But the tabs were not easy to remove without scoring with a razor. If you just muscle them off you can crack the fragile main frame. And the holes for the radio itself didn’t line up. Had to drill my own. And some of the tabs had excess plastic that had to be shaved off to fit. Bad mold or just sloppy work. I’ve installed a lot of radios so it wasn’t a problem to figure out. But if you haven’t done this before take your time. Be careful not to remove the wrong tabs and know that the instructions aren’t the greatest. And have a sharp razor handy to cut off the excess plastic.

Works but requires effort and intuition
Second Gen Tahoe - Brackets worked well, a bit flimsy but theyll do the job. Lots of flashing on the plastics, get yourself a hobby knife and some glue, and youll be able to cobble together a pretty solid bracket with these.Harness was.. kinda right? I had to depin half the pins, there were some that needed to be moved and some that were extra.End of the day, this is definitely not a quick plug and play part, the bracket and the harness are intended to fit multiple parts and some assembly is required. I think they should include a de-pinning tool, OR ship the plastic harness connector and the pins / leads separately so that you can customize it as needed.I would go with 3 stars because ultimately - it did what I purchased it for, but it was a headache - but for how inexpensive these parts are, I think that bumps it up to 4 stars.

I guess you get what you pay for
I ignored all the reviews about tabs not popping off and difficulty connecting things because I figured I'd be fine. I was right, in a sense, because I got it to work and technically it does fit my Pontiac Vibe, but the number of times I muttered to myself "what a piece of junk" during the installation process were many. The tabs were fine, the instructions were fine. It's not perfect but it works and when it's all covered up by the dash it's fine BUT, and it's a big BUT, the slots that help you fit the side pieces into the main frame don't fit. They are the wrong size and I had to sit there whittling away at both the slots and the bits that fit into the slots with a knife for quite some time until they did fit. What should have been a 10 minute install took quite a bit longer as I squeezed and forced the little plastic knobs into the slots. Eventually I got them together and then screwed them onto the aftermarket head unit. Compared to those slots the remainder of the install was a breeze.I guess ultimately I bought a cheap kit and I got what I paid for. Something that didn't quite fit right but mostly did what they said it would. I would not recommend this, buy one that has proper standards unless you don't mind fussing with it for 30 minutes hoping you don't cut yourself or break of something important.

not bad
it was a little tough to break off the tabs that you don't need for whichever vehicle you are trying to fit it in, and I felt like to was going to snap the main plastic housing a few times, just be gentle when you break off tabs and take your time, If you start losing your nerve (like I almost did), you will most likely break the whole thing. All this aside, it fit well in my 2006 Pontiac Vibe for my new double din ATOTO android stereo head unit. I would still recommend this.

Fitment good. Plastic flimsy
I used it to install a double din Kenwood unit. Once it was completely installed with dash trim it stiffened up and was pretty solid

absolute pain to install but fits
This should have been a straight forward, fast install in my 2006 Pontiac Vibe. Here we are 3 hours later, my hands are cut to heck and the thing is still not in. I can not get the side brackets into the faceplate to save my life. I have been fighting and cursing this thing for hours. Even tried running the faceplate under hot water for a while to soften it up enough to get the side bracket in place. I need a literal micron of space. I hate this thing with all my heart. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Absolute crap instructions as in there are none. There's a picture showing you which tabs to break off (be sure to have some tin snips handy) but that's where it ends. No videos on the internet for this particular model either. Customer service was 💩 and never responded. I can't remember the last time I was this mad. I can rebuild a bank machine or a laptop but I can't get the faceplate onto this thing? Total junk.Edit: I eventually resorted to taking a metal file to the tabs so they would fit into the slots. Once I did that it fit properly and looks good in the car. If you’re reading this and having trouble getting the tabs into the slots, save yourself some frustration and just use a file to make them fit.

Didn't fit Clarion head unit
Bought this product to replace a 10yr old bracket that had broken. Found the opening size to be too small for the stereo. I contacted scosche and was told the face plate is 6.8" wide. My Clarion deck was 7" wide. Need to lots of modification to work. Turned a 20 minute job into a 2hr job.
