Kangaroom Collapsible Large Toy Chest, Camel

Is a fairly decent toy chest. Has held up well and the Velcro lid still works just fine.Had another "avenger style" one made by a different company that was not nearly as durable.Two young boys have beat it up pretty good with sitting in it, over stuffing it and tossing it around. Still in decent shape.Holds plenty of toys/costumes/etc etc and is very lightweight.It will not hold the weight of a child, so if you are looking for something that does, look elsewhere.Here is how I use the Star-Rating system;1 star = Hate the product- Don't waste your money. Trying to get a refund.2 star = Dislike the product- would not buy it again.3 star = Indifferent- Neither like or dislike the product. Probably not going to recommend to a friend.4 star = Like product. Would recommend.5 star = LOVE the product. If you want a product, buy this one!

This toy box is lightweight and stores a lot of toys; however, it is not the same color as the picture. Mine is NOT khaki/dark brown trim with white stitching around the handles. Instead it is a butterscotch color (camel, I suppose, which is how it's listed...) with brown trim and brown stitching (so no contrast). I'm fine with this color, but I like the color as shown better.

this holds a lot of toys, so it definitely served its purpose. but my son is still very young (17 months), so he can't reach the bottom. this thing is pretty huge. so we always have to help him to get the toys he wants. i didn't think about that aspect when i bought it. but i think it will be more useful when my son gets little older. nonetheless i like this product. this is pretty big, so it takes up a lot of space. so if you have a tiny place, i would recommend a smaller size.

This toy box is functional and works well. The velcro closure makes it easy to open and close. The only complaint is that awful smell - the smell is similar to plastic or polymer materials sometimes used in packaging/plastics and is overwhelming. Whatever it is, it has permeated into the toys we put in there, especially the stuffed animals and other "soft" toys. We tried to "air it out" when we first received it for several days before we filled it with the toys, but you can still smell it - although not as strong as when we first got it.

I'll be brutally truthful: This box really does have an almost-overpowering chemical-ish smell when you first pull it out of the packaging. We left it in a spare bedroom while we were on vacation for a week, and the smell's pretty much gone. To be open and honest, I have a pretty sensitive nose, so I was about to send this back, especially considering the fact that this would be storing our son's toys. With the smell gone, I cut two cardboard dividers to snugly fit inside, so now this thing is ready to go.

We purchased this because we wanted something that wouldn't look awful in our living room and wouldn't smash our 10 month old's fingers. This is perfect. It is very sturdy, just like it claims. I took away one star because the description says it comes with outer mesh pockets (like the blue color), but it does not. The outer mesh pocket would have been a nice place to store balls or board books. Other than that, we are satisfied and are thinking of purchasing the blue one for his room.

We bought this because it matched our decor. That is the last time we'll make such a foolish choice. After about 2 weeks we threw it out.1. This product is flimsy. Children love to sit on their toy boxes. I see it all the time. This is not stable enough for that.2. This toy chest is not very practical. Our son could not get any of his toys from the chest without the top being held back by a grown up else it would just lay on his head. Very trying when a little one is in and out of the toy chest constantly. We eventually folded the top back as a temporary solution.3. There was this noxious, vinyl smell that never went away. Every time we'd open that toy chest the fumes were strong, we could only imagine how it affected our son. It was so bad we didn't want to reuse it elsewhere in the house.

Whew. So glad I found this! I did not want a furniture toy chest. I did not want a plastic toy chest. I wanted something that we could use now, that doesn't scream "kid" and fits into the look of our home, and something I could fold up and put away when we're done with it. This product delivers. We've used it for maybe three months so far - mostly light use. I rotate toys in and out of circulation to keep my toddler interested and the toys that are "out of sight" are in the toy chest. The toys he uses are in a laundry basket, on top of the toy chest. The product is holding up well. The toy chest did smell terribly (a chemical smell) when it arrived. I kept it outside and propped open for two days and it went away.
