You are lucky if you can get this unit to record
We bought this unit as a replacement for our Video Cassette Recorder, expecting to be able to record onto a USB stick. As a set-top box, this unit found all of the Freeview channels, and displayed standard & HD channels correctly. And it could display photos and video clips that we already had on USB sticks. But our Television could do all of this already. What I could not make it do was to record. I spent best part of a day, trying over a dozen USB sticks (old & new), and some USB hard drives, which all reported "no disk found", and I was on the point of returning the unit. The next morning it "found" the USB stick which had been left in it overnight, and it has successfully recorded onto it. I do not know what made it work, and being halloeen I suspect witchcraft. There is clearly something missing from the manual. Other reviewers report that they never managed to record. Recordings can be made instantly, or via the program guide (editing the date if it is well into the future), but notby using the blue button as described in the manual. Irritatingly, subtitles are turned off whenever you change channels. And whilst I would not expect to be able to turn subtitles on or off when playing back a recording, I would expect to be able to choose to record subtitles in the picture. You can't. Finally this unit runs surprisingly hot.UPDATE: After 10 months this unit is now cold not hot. It has just failed completely, and is being returned under warranty.

Poor EPG
Good picture. Can easily connect to the internet and watch a number of free IPTV channels (for some reason not all available channels work). What lets this product down is the useless Electronic Program Guide which displays only one channel at a time and also takes a bit of time to update.

Ok for Freeview HD channels
Delivered on time and receive all the channels, but I don't see any point have WiFi connection on the box because YouTube doesn't work you'll have to buy a streaming stick , it's a abit of a gimmick, but it does have problems with picking up channels with rain and snow
