Quilters Dream Orient Blend Select Batting (60'' x 60'') Throw

I used Dream Orient/Bamboo batting in a child's quilt and it turned out just as I had wanted. I quilted it in wavy lines 3" apart in one direction. The quilt drapes like a blankie, easily wads up if that's what the child wants to do while taking a nap etc. It does look wrinkled but that's okay with me for this type project. I will purchase it again.

I loved the easy handling of this batting! It does have a stiffer hand (feel) but bastes beautifully and quilts up like a dream. I will be purchasing again for the rest of my grandchildren's quilts! (I machine quilted with this batting, but believe it would also perform wonderfully for hand quilting as well)

This batting feels very nice, but it was very messy to work with. I had bits of batting all over the place. I've since learned that there's a wrong and a right side to batting, and I might have had better results if I had turned the batting over.

I use this batting to do embroidered machine applique for sewing room items and wall hangings. It's low loft, soft, and works exactly as I want it to. I've also used it in larger quilts, when I want the quilt to be especially drapey, soft and cuddly. All Quilter's Dream battings are of superior quality, and they are my favorite for all my quilting needs.

This is the only batting I use and more expensive than other blends, but this silk batting quilts like butter and is very warm.
