Hawaii's Original Taro Pancake Mix

We purchased this years ago in Hawaii. It is marvelous. We have been ordering it ever since. We use it for waffles so I dont know how the pancakes are. There is no strange flavor with the Taro flour. The waffles are light and delicate in flavor. You will love them. The price is rather high unfortunately, but I continue to order it anyway.

Outstanding, easy pancakes with authentic Hawaiian (not pineapple) flavor. A bit pricey, but worth it for Taro pancake lovers!

The texture was not fluffy, kind of dry. Was not purple colored like the Hawaiian Malasadas, using the purple taro root.Disappointment!!

The cost here is way to much -- when it sells at $5.52 for the same 20 oz. direct from HPC Foods.The pancakes are simply the best -- first tried these while in the islands on vacation. Just add water, light, fluffy, silky - great item. Make them even better is to have with Bourbon surup..

I really like the Taro bread mix. This was not as good and didn't have the purple color.

pricing was higher than i had expected but product was good, as a dairy intollerent person and not able to use milk, these pancakes offer best pancake taste just using water in fact putting more water in actually makes for a much thinner product and better mouth/taste feel,

I should have looked at the size of the bag instead of assuming $19.99 was going to buy a lot of mix instead of a tiny bag, my bad. That being said, this is wholly unremarkable. Even at a lower price it would still be just "meh". Not really any taro flavor at all and the grated up taro in it just adds a little texture. Really disappointed.

Love this pancake batter. I haven't found anyone who doesn't love it.
