It fits, but seal is imperfect
I bought this for my 1994 K1500. The holes lined up, the harness was wired correctly. It came with a seal.Problem - seal was not good. With the screws secured, there were visible gaps that were inviting water. To properly address this, I added clear silicone sealant. Due to this, I give it 3/5 stars.

I replaced the original taillights w/these on my 1995 Chevy pick up truck. Looks great!

Not a great fit for 96 Chevy... but $60 less than original equipment.
Company said it fit a 96 Chevy Truck. It may have IF it had a thicker gasket. I went ahead and mounte it because I truly needed one... on the 96 cab it sits a little oddly and appears to have a visible gap at the top... but the gasket prevents it from leaking so far. Because it is not a perfect fit to cab... lining up bolts AND getting the adhesive gasket both in functional alignment was a pain. Would be simple if if truly fit the cab. I gave it a 3 because it is bright and $60 cheaper than original equipment. It may fit newer models well... the 96 model is usable... if you are not looking for a clean perfect fit.
