My fence is so close to the roof that I get cats, squirrels, raccoons jumping on my roof and they were going poop up there. I got tired of cleaning the poop that was left by the chimney and another area of the roof. There spikes are pokey enough that I don’t think and animals will walk along the fence to get up on the roof anymore. I decided to install along the length of the fence to deter thieves who might want to claim the fence. Good for intruder prevention. These were very easy to install. They have score marks so you can snap and cut to the size you want. The only thing is it does not come with screws. I bought 40 count#8 screws 1” size. Make sure to get either galvanized metal or a screw rated for the exterior otherwise it will rust out with the elements.

Excellent quality, easy to install and super sharp. I live in Florida and the squirrels were constantly running across the top of my Lanai screens and jumping onto the nearby palm trees.They would then jump back onto the screens to avoid going on the ground.By doing this the loosened and weakened the screens which i ve had to replace a few times. I mounted these spikes around the entire tree in the areas that they jump to. I used regular outdoor screws. ( like deck screws)A few have jumped not knowing what awaits them and fell to the ground. Now I see less squirrels altogether. A few thought about jumping but wisely changed their mind. Update- about 2 weeks after installation the squirrels realized these aren't too sharp and have been extending their legs to step over them . Had to remove them. For me ..a waste of money.

They helped a little on our bird feeder pole bot in the end squirrels were very adapted to finding the one place to grab the pole then used it as a ladder

I used clear caulk to adhere them to window sill and just lay them on window stool and dogs have stopped jumping on windows. They sniffed them and it poked their big dog noses and they have stayed away since. Well made and allows you to configure and breakup very easily. Points are not sharp enough to draw blood. But suggest you keep them grouped in three rows for a window sill. This also helps with safety to spread the weight of dog if they do jump on it, enough to be uncomfortable but not injure a big dog.

These did absolutely nothing to deter birds. They climb right on top of the spikes and started to build their nest in between the spikes. I did not allow them to complete the nest, but the spikes served as quite a nice platform for them. I had it nailed down and also played with the spacing of the spikes. No luck. Completely worthless.

However, I put all the wire in (a sit-down-mindless job). If you have bad arthritis, have someone else put them together or get a different product. I had a hard time with them, and I have only minor arthritis.I got a reel of plant wire and tried to wire it to the deck rail - I got one up and stopped that. I tied two into an "X." but had problems getting that to stand straight up.I ended up throwing some on the table and in the chairs and calling it good.With all that said, I heard the doves that have lived there rent-free for three years, but none have joined me this year.I think if you own your own home, you could nail/screw them in. I knew I couldn't do that, and it is why I got the wire separately.It works despite the problems - I can use my deck this year and that's all that matters.

My indoor/outdoor cats kept jumping onto my neighbors balcony, including a stray I feed. I have tried a lot of homemade ways , thinking I could outsmart the cats, but this works great and nothing else did. My cats would jump from our balcony to hers risking life and limb, the more deterrents we tried, the harder they would try to outthink or out jump, Finally found a solution. this works perfectly! I love it! Highly recommend if there is a spot that you need to keep your cats off of like I did. Its so much safer for them than anything else, even though it looks scary they simply won’t try to walk it so it is a real safety measure in my case.
