They are beautiful and durable
I use this in kids therapy. They are beautiful and durable. You simply play the game like Old Maid. We lay all of our pairs out at the end of the game. I have the kids pick three ways of managing anger at home and three ways for managing anger at home. Then I set up a goal chart and go over it with parent or teachers in how to prompt the child appropriately. They earn a reward as they succeed by using the choices they picked. This usually works quickly and effectively.

Educational but doesn't keep the kids interested for long
I like that the cards are in bright colors, simple language and have great ideas for coping skills. I tried it with my clients (6-12 year-olds), some liked but did not ask for it a second time like other games. Other kids lost interest quickly after the first time. It was a good tool to help increase communication of feelings and thoughts related to anger behaviors. It helped me with clients having a hard time initiating conversation. I now use it to engage clients during session, or to review coping skills learned in previous sessions and provide kids with ideas on how to handle difficult emotions. As a game it can be played a few times before the kids get bored but as a visual tool is really helpful.

Creative and Fun
I've used this in individual and family counseling with kids. It provides lots of different ways for expressing anger that gives kids and parents more options. Good reminder for myself too :)

It's OK -- at best
I wasn't quite sure the best way to use this. It was good to use with my niece and nephew who both have social skills issues. They are 6 years old and very hyper and impulsive so they get reprimanded a lot. Used this once but their attention span was sooooo short. Not enough excitement in this game.
