I have an OLD, like original version, Wii. The adapter it came with had component (or composite, I get them mixed up) plugs but my newer TV only has spots for HDMI and USB ports. I was not actually expecting this to work but it did. There is a little audio port on the adapter but you don't really need it for HDMI (High Definition Multi-Media Interface) because HDMI includes audio and video together. This adapter even came with a 3 foot HDMI cable which is excellent and just the right length to plug into my TV but not have a mess of cords. I'm really happy I get to play on my old gaming system again!

Worth every penny!! NYE we wanted to play Wii on our newer smart TV. We’d not played Wii on this new TV. Alas, our Wii had the red/white/yellow plugs, for which our Samsung TV did not have input for. I ordered this converter and, sadly, didn’t have it for our evening (we played Taboo instead), but it arrived a couple of days ago and I finally tried hooking it up. Wow, easy peasy and it worked great!! My husband and I immediately played two bowling games!!

I tried 3 different A/V adapters (1 for Sony 1/8" A/V input & 2 A/V to HDMI converters) to connect wii to my new Sony xbr tv (no RCA jacks - only A/V 1/8" input) all had terrible picture. 4th try I ordered this wii HDMI converter and picture is finally good on my 75". At least as good as ever was with Wii limited resolution.

Looks a bit cheap but it gets the job done.. Kinda. I actually use this for my bigger TV in the living room. its a 75 inch and I tried fixing the aspect ration but it ends up never changing. so I have this huge TV and I can only see about 50% only of the tv screen being used.

The very first one that I bought was glitched out and made VHS quality look good compared to it. I was not getting a good picture, and in fact it was unfortunately not very functional when it came to converting HDMI from the Nintendo wii.

Works perfectly without having to tweak anything. Simply plug and play.

Works well, have had no issues.
