Use for my dog
This product does what I need it to do. I use it on my sliding door so my very large dog can go outside when she wants. It works well, but not forever and I didn't expect it to last forever. I would have used one of those more permanent dog doors, but she need an extra large and no human can exit that door when it's there, so this screen works. It last for about 4 months and it is very inexpensive. I just install a new one when it gets all raggy from the constant use. The only thing that is a problem is I live in the desert, so it gets very hot here. The adhesive don't work well in the high temps. I bought extra velcro strips to replace as needed. I always have a spare ready when I need to replace it. I think it's a good product. Considering that my 100+ lbs dog uses it multiple times a day and it last for a good 4 months is a plus.

Does just what I want
My last Magic Mesh screen lasted 3 years. I have 3 small dogs, and a patio slider. I was SO TIRED of getting up every time they wanted to go out, every few minutes or so it seemed. It takes them zero time to figure out how to use it for in and out. They are so small that they just slide their noses UNDER IT, and with a tiny nudge the bottom magnets lift and they go out. Same with coming in. I don’t even use my patio slider screen door anymore, I just attach the Magic Mesh to the frame and leave it up all year, since I live in So California. Just open the glass slider a few inches and the dogs slip through. It starts to fray after a year or so, but mine lasted to the start of summer this year, so I feel 3 yrs is a good run for this type of screen.

Exactly what I needed
I've used these magnetic screens years ago and recently moved to a house with no screen door. I got the 'elite' version because of giant dogs. The screen attaches super easily and works well (mostly). I'm a little annoyed there is already a hole in the screen, granted it is at the very bottom but still, it's supposed to be stronger mesh. Also, we attached as instructed (but also folded, more on that below) and the top magnets don't touch each other. The instructions say to just move the center up or down but like-- it's REALLY stuck on there so it isn't easy to move at all. We kinda just deal with it, lol.The screen was a bit too wide for our doorway and initially I was upset thinking it wouldn't work. We did a search on youtube and found that it is incredibly easy to fix too wide/ too short screen. I wish the instructions were included with the product, you simply have to make a fold at the sides or top (depending if the screen is too wide or too long). Oh well, it's fixed now :-DOverall, really like this product. Easy to install and works exactly as it should.

Not as durable or versatile as advertised
It was advertised as "heavy duty" so upon taking it out of the box, I immediately noticed that the material did not appear as strong as expected. I should have returned it right then. But I thought maybe I was underestimating it; my neighbor had one and recommended it (albeit, he'd only had it a few days at that point). It wasn't too hard to install except that it was a bit too wide and long for my door opening. There isn't really a way to adjust the size so I ended up rolling in the edges to get it to fit. Also it said to install on the outside of the door frame, but it wasn't possible to do so on my sliding door without blocking the door from being able to close. Again, should have just returned it then but it said it was good for sliding doors so I continued. Once up, I felt I had to be gentle with it when opening it to avoid ripping. My dogs obviously did not take the same care. But it advertised as being good for pets and that was the main reason I got it so I continued to try it out. It only lasted a few days before the seams ripped. See pics. On the bright side, Amazon returned my money without issue.

Overall I'm happy! I ordered a second for my backdoor, however You get what you pay for!
I ordered this for my front door, I like to regularly leave my doors open for hours for fresh air and I needed something to keep the bugs out. I am in a rental and wanted a option that was cheap, easy to install and was not permanent. This met all of those needs. It took about 5 minutes total for 2 people to install, that included nailing in the little tack/nails they give you. I waited about a week to see how well it worked before I bought my second one. My door opens in, so I mounted it on the outside door frame per the instructions. Going out has no problems, the magnets open very easily and click closed behind you. Coming in, when the magnets swing back to connect, they get caught and stick to the metal door, threshold, and other metal parts of the door handle assembly. We have kind of gotten used to just using our hands or our feet to knock them off as we come in so they connect back together. However, sometimes we would forget and half the screen would be open which let in tons of bugs, So keep that in mind if your installing this near metal, the magnets are pretty powerful! We spend a lot of time going in and out so I was surprised that it held up after the first day, some of the adhesive on the velcro strips separated from the wall (from the side that connects to the door frame) but that wasn't an issue really because I also used the tack/nails that come with it, which I would absolutely recommend using. The velcro strips are pretty strong, if you try to pull them apart they are really hard to separate, it will just come off from the doorframe. I kind of find them pointless, and I think you could just use the tack/nails and it would be fine. Knowing all of this I still ordered a second one for my back door. It is wood but has a metal kick plate so I expected similar annoyances. When my second screen arrived there was a small hole in the mesh in the top of one of the panels, I still decided to keep the product. After I installed it I noticed the stitching in the middle seam where the magnets connect was crooked, this caused large gaps in between the magnets and it left a large gap at the very bottom. We watched several bugs find their way in thru these gaps. Still we decided to keep it, because it only let a few in and that was better than nothing, I'd say it kept about 80% out. After about 2-3 days I noticed several threads started coming loose from the middle the seem. If felt like spiderwebs every time we would pass thru it. I trimmed them up and made sure no more would come loose, it would be fine for a few uses then we found more threads, I realized the whole seam was unraveling (like a knit sweater would) and keeping them trimmed up was doing nothing. I decided to return the second screen for a replacement. I haven't gotten my replacement yet, but it should be here within the week. Prime made the exchange very simple. I am hoping it will be like my first screen. I like to leave my doors open for fresh air throughout the year, more so in spring and summer, and still but less in fall and winter, I hope it will last at least through summer but have a feeling i'll need to replace it in fall. Highly recommend it if your a renter, when I took down the second screen to send it back, the tack/nails did leave very SMALL holes, however they are hardly noticeable and a much better option than screws from a traditional screen door. Sadly we don't get to have any pets in our rental but I'm looking forward to my father in law coming to visit to see how his dog reacts to it, I have a feeling shes not going to like using it haha. I think you absolutely get what you pay for, its a cheap simple fix to keep the bugs out, and even with the little quirks I'd say it works and overall we are happy. I really wanted to love this product and give it a 5 star after the first day but after the issues with the second screen I just couldn't. Overall we are happy!

I've bought several over time.
Very practical but the magnets will not hold the screens together under windy conditions. Easy to install with tacks or velcro which are included.
