Can light be used on a 30+ year old lid that had a fluorescent light housing set on plexiglass portion of lid?

Yes, I used Hygger’s nearly-identical light (with the control module on the cord) in place of the flourescent fixture on my 30+ year old All Glass aquarium. It worked great. I had it set directly on top of the glass where the old light housing used to sit, and I also used it with the metal brackets, so the light was a few millimeters above the hood. I just wish the future was a little bit narrower—then I could’ve set the housing of the old light fixture over it.
