Over a half-century of smiles.
If you're my age, you remember the Squibb Broxodent toothbrush from the 1960s ("Because you brush with an ordinary toothbrush but you brrrrrush with a Brrrrroxodent"). And you've probably gone through enough cheaper electric toothbrushes to cover the cost of this one (guilty as charged). The three settings control the sonic bristle velocity at the same number of strokes per minute (3,000 up and down). Noobs should spend a week of twice-a-day brushing at each speed starting at 1. My gums were already in good shape so I jumped directly to 3 without bleeding or discomfort. The BROXO OraBrush runs quieter because the motor is driving the brush stem directly. A couple things you need to get used to: more vibration in your hand and the power cord. This isn't a rechargeable toothbrush and unlike the original, you're not shoving a 120-volt appliance in your mouth. The power is a safe 14 volts, so even if the water resistant construction was compromised, at most you'd get a tingle. It's a minor trade-off and the reward is a mouth that feels as clean as after a session with a dental hygienist.Oh, and, tack a dotcom onto the word broxo to see the list price. Then do the same thing to the word walgreens and order one. Your mouth and wallet will be glad you did.
