Love these dishes. Bought to replace my Mikasa Garden Harvest which I loved but which scratched badly from silverware. Have been using these everyday for a couple of months and no scratches. Lighter than the Mikasa stoneware, so another plus. And the white is so versatile. Pattern is same as Mikasa Swirl White bone china, which offers more accessory pieces. These are beautiful, lightweight and simple. The sale price was enticing, I ordered 2 sets of 16 pcs. I had already opened 99% of the plates and put everything in the dishwasher... the last item was a broken salad plate!! I didn't feel like returning the whole set since I was kind of careless with the inner boxes and had already torn and folded them for recycling.I had to purchase a single salad plate for an extra $16.50 . The actual Mikasa box was in another plain box and very securely packed.The inner packaging of the Mikasa box could have been sturdier though. Perhaps the plate broke while they were packing it and nothing was said. I am happy with the plates regardless of the broken one :)

I was looking for a white dish that could be used everyday but also be elegant enough for entertaining. The design on the dishes make it look so classic. The mugs are perfect. I like how you can use them for coffee, tea , or even hot chocolate because they are larger than a cup and saucer you usually get with these types of sets. The bowl you get is deep so it can be used for a salad or soup bowl. I love this set and look to buy another one ! A good price for something that looks very expensive! This set will never go out of style!

Beautiful but one bowl and one small plate was broken inside the box. Definitely better packaging is needed for fragile items.

If you are looking for a dishware set that intersects with the fine dining aesthetic and rustic artisan, this maintains a good balance. I accidentally banged a couple plates on my quartz counter top and no damage was incurred. Having coffee or tea in the morning out of these mugs makes me feel like I'm on vacation at home. Good for bachelors and couples. For the cost, this is a great value set compared to other products in my research.

I bought these on a whim because I was looking for a minimalist design, neutral tone set of dinner wear. This is also my first purchase of bone china, just to be clear. I am now a lover of bone china. The pieces are very slightly translucent, which adds a warmth fine china lacks. I don't know how durable these really are, I don't intend to abuse them, but I've been using them daily for weeks now and they still look brand new. The dishwasher hasn't dulled them, knife usage and cutlery hasn't marked them.

Gorgeous dishes!!! They are the perfect blank canvas for any awesome meal you'll prepare! The bowls are the perfect depth for cereal. The only iffy thing is cofee slightly stains the bottom of the coffee mug if left in for too long, so be sure to rinse them out after you finish your drink and you'll be good!

I bought these plates in late 2019 and started using them in Jan 2020 on a daily basis. They were beautiful when new. It is now Aug, 2023 and I am very disappointed how these plates have weathered. The finish is “wearing away” after just 3 years. These plates are not abused. Just used for daily meals, washed in a dishwasher, and very occasionally used in a microwave. So disappointing. UPDATE: After just 4 1/2 years of use, they need to be replaced. Horrible quality. The finish is so worn that these dishes no longer even clean properly. I bought Mikasa due to their supposed quality and reputation. Running a household for decades, I have never had dishes need replacing due to wear. I buy quality, which is what I thought I was buying. What a mistake and a waste of money!

I love Mikasa and my previous two dinner sets have been Mikasa. I like the design and the fact it is bone china and chip resistant.

I purchased the Mikasa 5224193 Ciara 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 on sale for an outstanding price. After a lot of research, I decided to get the Mikasa set because I read that bone china was stronger and lighter weight than porcelain dinnerware. These dishes did not disappoint. They are beautiful, strong, lightweight, and thinner than porcelain. I had been using Corelle, but I am giving them to charity because while they do not break often when a Corelle dish does break, it smashes into a kazillion pieces of sharp pointy shards. I was worried one of, my 2 cats would get their paws cut on a shard. My only regret is that I did not purchase 2 sets when it was on sale. Even the regular price on amazon is very good at the time I am writing this. I might have to order a 2nd set.

Love this Mikasa dinnerware, its light (I have arthritis!) so easy for me to handle, beautiful classic pattern and the white goes great with any colour decor I use.
