Leader Accessories New Low Back Folding Boat Seat

I have gotten a couple boat seats of different brands. I am a rural mail carrier so I use this seat differently than designed and differently than anyone might have expected. I pulled out all the seats in my vehicle and mounted this in the middle of the vehicle in the front row and sit there to deliver mail every day. I use this seat for 5 hours a day 5 days a week, so it gets "used" a lot. This is by far the most comfortable seat I have gotten. Others start to hurt after a few hours, this one does not. The padding is holding up well and keeping its' form. The issue I had with the last one is the foam seat compressed and stopped giving me the padding/comfort level needed for a 5 hour ride. Only time will tell how long this will hold up, but so far I am impressed.

Just installed the seats this afternoon ( I’m a 70 yr old woman), the parts from my old seats fit the bottom perfectly! They are a little smaller than the original seats in my Bass Tracker but makes a tad more room to move around the boat. They are also quite lite to handle! I think I will re-enforce the bottoms where the material is just stapled to the bottom. Just a little modification to keep the material from pulling away from the staples or tearing away. I didn’t find any defects in any of the three I bought. If they last a year or two ( or three) then they are well worth the money. My tracker is 20 yrs old and only the seats needed replacing because of the elements ( mostly sun rotting the stitching). I do plan to have the original seats re-upholstered professionally but these seats will work out fine until then. If I experience problems in the future, I’ll update the review.

These seats appear to be well made. They look nice and are comfortable to sit on, BUT the mounting holes are not the standard 5” spacing, in reality they are 5.25”, so if your seat bases have actual holes and not slots, these seats WILL NOT FIT, you have been warned. PS: now that I’ve had them a couple days I can also say I wish the seat backs had a bit more recline. They are just a tad to vertical for what I think would be perfect.

If you plan on this seat being exposed to salt air, you will have to pull and replace all the staples as they are steel. All the bolts are also steel and will have to be replaced. The four bolts for the seat are too short anyway and also will have to be replaced. All this fuss turned a one hour install into a total PITA. Thanks a lot Leader. The Chinese strike again! Buy an American made seat and save yourself the aggravation.

Seat has more foam, cushioning and support than the cheaper $40 seats. I upgraded the captain chair for exactly that. Foam is a little stiff initially but breaks in nicely with some light use. Should last a while. Only complaint is the install. The mounting bracket was slightly off the standard pattern, causing some frustration and issues with the install. I had to adjust by only putting in 3 of the 4 bolts. Annoying! Knocks off 1 star as a result.

Now, after having been using those seats for a few weeks, do I wish I would have gotten the higher back.But this has nothing to do with the very good product quality and besides of being picky afterwards am I 100% satisfied.I installed them as swivel seats, which was a very good choice.Well, nothing bad about this product, 5 stars for sure.

These seats are well built for the money and very comfortable. They were actually better than expected. I was lucky enough to catch them on sale so I feel like I got a heck of deal. I would definitely purchase these again.

This was very easy to install. It took me about 10 minutes with a manual screwdriver. The seat looks just like the picture and is very comfortable. It is the same height as our old captains chairs but smaller so we have more room. I am so glad I saw these before spending more money on a similar product.
