This works just like the one originally installed by the security company. I did not even need to uninstall the wall bracket. I just replaced the new one with the old.

Units appeared to have been opened before. No instruction sheet or mounting tape. We opened and tested two units. Got false triggering on both units. Installing on an Interlogix Concord 4 system. We found no support at the manufacturer. I suspect we have been shipped defective returned units. We are returning all five we ordered.

Good sensors

The mount has them point at a downward angle. I don’t know if this is an updated design, but it appears they are intended to be mounted high. I used the straight mounts from the units they replaced.

Just add me to the list of buyers receiving a used, defective product. The product had the OEM stickers covered with blank stickers, the manual was missing, the mounting tape was pre-installed. The unit was also part of a recall by the manufacturer (TSB 200331 ) . If this were part of Amazon Warehouse, fine. This was sold as new. It was clearly not. Thank goodness for great Amazon support to make it right!

Replaced 3 of the PIR on my Simon XT system. When I went to change batteries on the old PIRs then test with a walk-around, I found they were only randomly registering to the system. Put these babies in and they light up like a Christmas tree. Used one of them to replace an old glass break sensor that kept registering as tamper. Some of the door contacts were also bad with corroded and broken contacts for the batteries. Also replaced them. No use having an alarm system if it isn't going to sense intruders. Ordered 2 more of these PIRs and some more door contacts as well. The case on my old ones was a beach to take off. These work like a champ. And the spring for the tamper switch is nicely placed under a flexible plastic tab so the spring does not get out of whack and give tamper alerts. Very happy with this purchase. I still like the design of these and also the price compared to some others. However, out of the 5 only 3 worked. They connected fine and tested fine, but I would get false alarms. Tested them in a room with nothing to interfere, same issue. I would still go ahead and order more of these since it is after all Amazon and returns are easy.
