Q: What are the directions for using this stopper? I purchased it and the water still leaks out of my 1-3/4 inche bathtub drain with a smooth surface.

Hi, Ensure that your bathtub drain is flat and have smooth surface & proper drain hole . Here are steps FYI: Clean the place around the bathtub drain hole before use. Step 1: Cover the drain hole and push down the suction cup. Step 2: Fill in your tub with water till water pressure seals tightly. Hold it down for a minute or two to create a suction while the tub fills up. Ps: Suction cup just help secure the stopper to the tub floor. Main function depends on water pressure/weight. Soft silicone wont hurt even kid litter finger, so keep naughty child from pulling it out to affect effective experience, leading to probable leaking Keep clean and dry after use, available to store easily Hope it helps Best Regards
