Red HeartSuper Saver Yarn, Frosty Green

The color was very spot on from the photo. Came in packaged perfectly. No rips or tears. No weird smells. Very soft and a great price!

This is some of the prettiest yarn I've ever bought!! I found it when it was on sale, 3 skeins for $9.00, so I thought I'd give it a try. I purchased whatever I could and it has turned out to be sooo much better than I could ever have imagined. It works up so beautifully and the stitch definition is sharp. I also thought it might be itchy or scratchy because of the appearance, but it's not at all! It glides over the hook and is ooooh so soft to work with, it glides through your fingers too, so you'll need to hold onto it to keep from having loose stitches. Be CAREFUL when using this yarn, it's next to impossible to frog 🐸 (undo) your work. Fuzzy yarn is always next to impossible to frog (undo) any mistakes!! So please be vigilant about watching 👀 your work as you go so you can avoid this. I am very pleased with what I think the final product will look like, (from what I see so far). I'm using a 5.5 mm hook, like suggested on the label. I will be purchasing it in other colors, like the Lavender, Mink, Blue, and the Yellow. None of the shades are very bright and I'm thinking that this is on purpose to give the yarn an "Antique" kind of appearance(?). Whatever the reason is for the toned down hues, I think that it makes your work look and feel like it's a lot more expensive than it really is. I can't wait to create a few sweaters, hats and shawls with it. I know they're going to be Beautiful! (I also think this is an "Adult" kind of yarn. Meaning that anything you make with it should be made for Adults, in my opinion.) I'll add an updated review with pictures once I've finished a project and laundered it. The Instructions say to wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and tumble dry on low. This yarn does come in lot numbers so you'll need to purchase enough to finish your project at the beginning of it. Give it a try, I believe that you'll like it too.

Crafters joke about Red Heart Super Saver surviving the zombie apocalypse, and it's true it's a sturdy workhorse yarn. But wash it once or twice and it softens. RHSS comes in a plethora of colors and the price is great, especially for kids' sweaters that get muddied and outgrown in months. Also great for charity blankets when a washable acrylic is requested.

I am making a blanket for my daughter using this yarn as one of the colors. It is a good blue color that is easy to combine with other colors. It is easy to work with but not as soft as some yarn that I have worked with. Would still recommend as good value for your money.

This yarn is lovely. It is soft and easy to work with. I didn't take off stars because it's not the fault of the yarn maker or the seller, but they aren't arrived at my house with a rip in the plastic bag and multiple pieces of the yarn has cuts. Obviously, it was damaged in transit. I will always order yarn with something else now. That way they can be boxed and shipped together.

i just recently started crocheting, this yarn is decently easy to work with. for the pink jellyfish i used a 3mm hook, the other two i used a 5.5mm. i’ve started a few other projects with a 2mm hook so really any hook works with the yarn. it’s not the softest yarn but it gets the job done and is well priced!

This yarn feels soft enough for my crochet and knitting projects. It’s very easy to work with, and I like how much yarn I get for the price. The metallic red color is beautiful and nice for creating crochet gifts for the holidays. Highly recommend this product for beginners too because it’s solid enough to practice handling the yarn. I would use it for teaching my kids and their friends to knit and crochet because you can get a few projects out of each ball.
