The Fanatic [DVD]

Loved this film. Not what I expected. Ignore the bad reviews and enjoy.

John Travolta played a totally different character than I usually relate to him as an actor - was different, film was a bit slow to get started but was intriguing - the story slowly built and the latter part of the film was the better part and had a clever ending

Not the film I thought I was getting. I thought this would be full on stalker mode thriller, but this is more tragedy than anything as an obssessed autistic uber-fan doesn't know where the boundaries are with self-interested star. Travolta gives a pretty good performance as Moose. I recognized much of the behaviour. Much worse ways to spend 87 minutes.

After watching this movie it has to be acknowledged that the acting by John Travolta cannot be seconded by any actor in any previous movie. As for the story it gives you an inside look at the feelings of a top movie star who's being stalked but also of a rejected movie fanatic. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I was very disappointed with this movie. I turned it off after 20 minutes. weak story line and poor acting. I thought John Travolta would have been a lot better. Normally I enjoy John Travolta's movies. I wish I never bought it now.

Travolta was obviously committed to this project and gave it everything in his performance. It doesn't matter that the plot made no sense; it can be enjoyed on a certain level. You know what I mean.

Un Travolta méconnaissable dans un bon thriller

Ce film m'a quelque peu trouble.. John TRAVOLTA en autiste.. Rôle à contre-emploi, mais plutôt bien joué.. Attachant en tout cas.. (on est loin de 'La fièvre du samedi soir', ou 'Urban cow-boy'..) Bref, perso. j'ai apprécié ce film..
