Love this backpack as does my 2 year old son!! He loves wearing a backpack as he sees his dad wear a backpack to work. I do love the leash/tether - it is long enough to give him some slack to walk beside me without being too long. I plan on putting my wrist through the loop and holding his hand when we are out and about. The bag itself is not flimsy, i could probably collapse it and lay it flat in a suitcase or in my shoulder bag. The size of the bag is perfect - we just keep a little baggie of snacks and his little stuffed animal, so that he feels like a "big boy" when he wears it. I do like the hook on top of the bag because he can hang it by himself when he's not wearing it. There's also a spot in the bag where you can write his name. I love the monkey design - very gender-friendly.The backpack itself fits my 2 year old peanut perfectly (34", 25lbs), which makes me think that he might outgrow it within a year or so (it says it's for ages 1-4). But for the purpose of being a safety harness, I think it is really well built and designed. The buckle that clips the shoulder straps together across his chest is strong and it does take a bit of effort to unclip the buckle. Which again, brilliant because I don't want my 2 year old taking this off by himself. I don't think the mesh pocket is really big enough for a bottle or sippy cup, which is fine because I'm not looking to load this backpack up with a bunch of stuff to weigh down my kid.

I love this little monkey bag and so does my two year old! When it came in the mail, he put it on and wanted to leave that day.. It was the perfect size for him to carry on our two week trip across Europe. I purchased it because I wanted to have something to hold onto him with while traveling through so many new and busy places. He was excited for it and packed it full of his favorite toys. I like that the shoulder straps are actual backpack straps, because I was debating between another bag that I realized did not have regular back pack shoulder straps. So this bag was comfortable for him to wear! It's not very big, but I didn't want it to be huge because I purchased it for my two year old! The big pocket is just one big open pocket. I also like that you buckle it around the chest, so it stays on, especially when pulling on the tether as he would try to take off running. We never had a hard time with the tether, it is totally durable and there were times he was pulling pretty hard to take off running I can't say enough good things about this bag! It's durable, comfortable, and cute! If you're debating it, you should make the purchase!

Got this little backpack for my granddaughter as she is starting preschool / daycare. She just turned 2 and it is the perfect size for her little back. she absolutely loves it! She didn't want to take it off. It seems to be well made of sturdy durable canvas. It didn't take her long to get dirty spots on the face but they washed right off with a little water. The little mesh pocket would not hold her sippy cup (maybe a smaller water bottle or juice box). She loved being able to carry her own toys, little books and snack. It is not tall enough to fit a folder or full size coloring book in. I would say it it about the size of a dinner plate. Very cute. If you are looking for something that can hold a couple diapers, change of clothes and a few toys this will work well.

This thing is amazing. My son LOVES to go outside and roam around without anyone holding him. I try not to be the paranoid mom who is in antsy mode when her child is with someone else. My mom, mother in law, husband, and anyone who takes my son out to play (I am 9 months pregnant so I have zero energy to take my lovable but oh so active 15 month old out) uses this and he doesn't try to break loose or anything (which is what I worried about!). No complaints about it being too short (at least not yet). I love that the harness comes off because my son loves to wear this all day in the house (no strangle hazard and nothing he can trip over). It's a good size to fit some snacks, a juice box, and diaper/wipes inside. You can probably fit more but I wouldn't stuff it if my son is going to be wearing it. I also like that where the harness connects is metal and not plastic. It feels very sturdy. It's super cute and gets the job done.

Well, we gave in and actually bought this after having to fly across the country and be on 3 different flights with a few layovers. Let me tell you, this works fabulously! My son bolts and he goes fast! We put this on him and he doesn't even want to move. It's like he knows. Now, how do we get him to move you ask? Yup...we have to carry him. We take off the backpack and it's magic...his legs work! I don't know how to get him used to this, but it does its job for sure. It keeps him with us and doesn't let him run away which he so desperately wants to do. In a busy airport, zoo, amusement park, etc, this is perfect, especially if your kid is used to wearing it and will walk on their own with it on. We'll probably use this again once he's older and understands, but for now, we'll either stick to the stroller or carrying him. It also was great for his carry on toys and snacks. We bring it to the zoo, but only use it as a snack pack since he only wants us to carry him if he has this on as a harness. The size is small, but it works for small things like snacks and toys. The drink compartment is also small and wouldn't you know, it only fits SkipHop straw water bottles! We had luckily gotten one in our Citrus Lane subscription one month, so we didn't have to go buy one from the store to add to our ever growing collection of water bottles. It is made very well and will last a long time, but I agree with the "leash" being a little short.
